Matthew returned to the Alchemy Workshop, where the Alchemical Golem Oriana was still making the Philosopher's Stone.
Matthew did not disturb her. The golem-making process was automated, and he could operate it through Zero Tower Spirit.
He took the remains of seven and a half Alchemical Golems he had found in the Biological Workshop from his pocket and placed them on the process's conveyor belt. "Zero, see how many golem assistants these can make."
"Please wait a moment," Zero Tower Spirit replied. The conveyor belt carried the remains into the machine.
A moment later, Zero Tower Spirit finished its analysis. "Two Alchemical Golems are fully functional and only need maintenance and a magic power source. The remaining materials can make three more Alchemical Golems. Estimated total consumption: 9,678 units of magic power."
Producing an Alchemical Golem from scratch required 10,000 units of magic power. Using parts from the remains cost far less.
"Go ahead and make them," Matthew said with a nod.
"Making Purification Orbs costs magic power too. One orb takes 1,000 units. I really need to make some money." Matthew sighed. After the golems were finished, the Wizard Tower's Magic Core would have only a little over 10,000 units left. The situation was grim, and he had already used every Magic Stone he had inherited from Alsha to charge it.
A few days later, Oriana and five newly made Alchemical Golems stood before Matthew. The five assistants had just been refurbished or produced.
Two had male appearances, and three had female appearances.
Matthew could not be bothered to name them, so he assigned them numbers.
Oriana had also finished the Philosopher's Stone and made two Purification Orbs.
Matthew examined the Philosopher's Stone in his hand. This faceted red gem was the treasure countless people dreamed of possessing.
