The two aunts also learned that Matthew had inherited the Black family. They had no objections and believed that Matthew was the best choice to inherit Black.

A trace of melancholy appeared between Narcissa's brows. Black was her maternal family, and she naturally hoped that it would prosper. Yet the Black family was now dwindling. In her generation, aside from herself and Andromeda, all her peers had either died or been sent to Azkaban. In Matthew's generation, Matthew was the sole remaining Black.
Narcissa asked, "Matthew, now that Black has a new head of the family, a banquet should be held to notify the other families. If you need it, I can help you arrange it."
"I'll help too," Andromeda said. Matthew had also restored Andromeda's portrait to the family tree tapestry. Andromeda had previously been removed from the family tree because she married a Muggle.
Organizing such a banquet was quite troublesome. Having two elders to help would save him a great deal of trouble.
