Wizard Market.
Matthew had previously exchanged for the Shadow-Eating Squid Bloodline Secret Art at the academy, but he still lacked the main ingredient needed to brew the bloodline potion. He had come to the Wizard Market to see if there was any information related to Shadow-Eating Squids.
There was a row of shops on both sides of this market street, while the middle of the street held a row of temporary stalls built from wood and brick.
The market was filled with dazzling goods, but after looking around, Matthew found no one selling Shadow-Eating Squids.
Shadow-Eating Squids were extremely difficult to preserve. Soon after death, they would turn into shadows and vanish, so they were rarely sold.
Matthew planned to ask the merchants selling Magic Creature materials and see whether he could gather some information.
He found a shop selling a wide variety of goods. The merchant was a Wizard missing one ear, and when Matthew entered, he was processing some kind of material.
Matthew glanced at the material the one-eared Wizard was handling. It looked somewhat like bark. "Gray Armor Tree?"
"Gray Armor Tree bark. Ground into powder and consumed, it can increase the toughness of the skin." The one-eared Wizard looked up. Upon seeing the academy instructor's robe Matthew wore, he immediately became much more enthusiastic. "What do you need?"
"No need. Aside from these goods, do you sell anything else?" Matthew recalled that Gray Armor Tree bark powder had considerable side effects—it would turn the skin bark-like.
"Yes, of course. My shop has the richest supply in the western market. What do you need?" The one-eared Wizard stopped working and said warmly.
"Then do you have Shadow-Eating Squids? I need a whole one," Matthew asked.
"A whole Shadow-Eating Squid? If it's blood... then I do have some.
