Hogsmeade was the only village in the United Kingdom inhabited entirely by Wizards, with no Muggles. It was somewhat like a shopping district, filled with shops, restaurants, and taverns.
Today was Hogsmeade Open Day. Many students and teachers enjoyed coming to Hogsmeade. Hogwarts stipulated that only third-years and above could visit Hogsmeade Village, and they needed a guardian's signed permission.
The school owls could be used freely and charged nothing. Matthew had asked Aunt to sign his permission slip yesterday.
Geralt crossed his arms over his chest and rubbed them. "It's getting a little cold."
He had dressed too lightly, and he did not feel like going back to the dormitory to put on more clothes.
Jerry glanced at him. "Who was it that said we didn't need to wear so much?"
Matthew smiled faintly, drew out his wand, and gave it a light wave. "Windproof and cold-resistant."
Geralt said in surprise, "I'm not cold anymore. What kind of Magic is this? They didn't teach it at school."
Matthew explained, "It's a Cold-Prevention Charm I found in an ancient book. It's an improved version of the Hot Air Charm. Compared to the Hot Air Charm, the Cold-Prevention Charm is easier to control."
Jerry said, "The Hot Air Charm really is hard to control. One careless mistake and you'll get burned."
Geralt was delighted that he would not have to freeze. "Just as expected of you—the learned Black!"
Matthew suggested, "Is there anything you want to buy? If there is, I can bring it back for you. Go claim a table at the Hog's Head Inn first."
The Hog's Head Inn would be packed on Open Day. If they arrived late, there would be no seats left.
