After leaving the deserted alley, Matthew headed toward the bustling main road.
He ran into Dolores Umbridge and several Aurors on the main road.
Umbridge's face was flushed red, and she looked exceptionally furious. In a shrill, greasy voice, she shouted, "He still got away? Find him!"
The young witch with violet hair muttered, "How are we supposed to find him? He might have Apparated away already."
Umbridge hated being questioned. She glared at the young witch. "Intern! I am seriously questioning your abilities right now. I will report this to the Auror Office!"
Umbridge was not well liked at the Ministry of Magic. For her fishing operation, she had only borrowed one Auror and several trainee Aurors.
The young witch pursed her lips unhappily and said nothing further. She was only an intern undergoing training, and Umbridge might really be able to affect her training evaluation.
This internship had been awful. Ever since she had started working under Umbridge, she had constantly been targeted by her. Fortunately, she was not the only one. Umbridge treated all her Subordinates terribly, especially the witches younger and prettier than herself.
Suddenly, the young witch's eyes lit up. "Matthew, what are you doing here? Oh—today is Hogsmeade visiting day."
Matthew smiled in reply. "Tonks, didn't you say you were attending Auror training?"
The young witch with violet hair was Nymphadora Tonks. She was Matthew's cousin. Tonks's mother was also a Black, and Matthew's Aunt.
Matthew got along fairly well with this Aunt. When he had lived at his Aunt's house as a child, she had visited every year to check on how he was doing.
Tonks seemed rather happy to see Matthew. "The Auror Department is short-staffed, so they sent me here as an intern."
She had few siblings or cousins, with only
