Put simply, Odin had done a terrible job. He'd let Chaos in and only dealt with it after it had spread. By then, it was too late.

When a God King suddenly showed up and offered to clean up your mess, you'd better get on your knees and thank him.

Countless miserable worlds invaded by Chaos never got to see hope. They fell completely, and all their People of Order became grotesque Chaos creatures.

They suffered day and night under the torment of Chaos.

In that situation, going mad was probably the greatest mercy.

A fierce argument erupted among the Vanir Gods.

Some suggested finding a way to drag Lein into the mess. Others proposed splitting from the useless Asa Gods and negotiating with Lein independently. One god even had the wild idea of trying to guilt-trip him.

They tried the same trick again. Once they'd cast [Understanding the Sacred] on Lein, the Vanir Gods saw Lei Mou's "great achievements" and were thoroughly terrified.

There was a lot less Lawful Neutral in Lein than his title suggested.

If you reasoned with him, he'd reason with you.

If you tried to throw a tantrum, he'd use physics to explain things.

That was what made him truly terrifying.
