Final Thoughts (Plus Over a Dozen Side Stories)
Today, December 28, 2025, I finished writing the draft of this book.
This is the second novel I've written.
Initially, because I planned to publish the book on QQ Reading, I didn't intend to write a very long book, unlike my previous one which had several million words.
My previous book, being my first time writing a novel, was rather verbose, slow-paced, and sloppy.
Therefore, I learned from the lessons of the previous book when making this one.
I felt the pacing of this book was pretty good; it wasn't as weak as the last one.
But, to my utter surprise...
I now realize that someone like me, a nobody, shouldn't even think about changing jobs and making a name for myself. I should just stick to getting full attendance bonuses.
Originally, if you were to publish a book on Qidian, even if it wasn't very good, you could still make a comeback by updating it rapidly. That's what happened with my last book. When it was first released, it only had a little over 100 words, but after a massive update, it reached 1000 words.
However, I didn't expect QQ Reading to be such a trap. If it can't get off the ground at the beginning, it'll be even harder to get off the ground later.
The QQ Reading update bonus is useless; I can only post 4,000 words a day.
So, this book didn't take off; it crashed.
I couldn't bear to waste so many drafts, so I simply finished writing them all at once.
However, the more I wrote, the more frustrated I became, seeing that the data on QQ Reading showed no improvement whatsoever.
Therefore, I didn't want to write any more towards the end of this book.
Later on, I removed many details, and the plot became less detailed.
There's no way around it, I don't want to get entangled with this anymore.
Xiao Pu should never have gone to QQ Reading; he should have just stuck to Qidian.
Publish the book as soon as possible. I've already come up with a few ideas for the next one, but haven't decided yet.
Also, neither of the two Douluo Fanfiction I wrote took a stance against Tang San.
Originally, Tang San was alright in the first season of Dou Yi. When I watched it back then, Tang San was always ranked alongside Xiao Yan.
However, later events, both outside the book and reflected in the story, led to widespread dislike of Tang San, causing his reputation to plummet.
There was no other way. Looking at the information in these two books, I learned my lesson once again: the next book will be about standing against Tang San.
The lesson I learned from my first novel is that the plot should be fast-paced and not padded out.
The experience from the second novel was about fucking Tang San and the protagonist needing to have fun.
The next book won't follow the Mortal Flow; it'll include a cheat system.
Sigh, this book on QQ Reading has really dampened my confidence.
I thought it would be better than the first one, so I shouldn't have been having such unrealistic daydreams.
Next, there are a dozen or so bonus chapters.
In conclusion, thank you to all the readers who have followed me this far.
Whether you subscribed on Qidian or followed the story on QQ Reading, thank you all.
For the next book, I will try my best to learn from the experience of the first two, and I hope everyone can continue to support me.
