Xia Yang broke through to Soul Power Level 30, escaped the Clear Sky Sect, and traveled to hunt a Spirit Ring. After confronting his former friend Yu Xiaogang in the Star Dou Great Forest, he reunited with Tang Yuehua, who had left the sect to find him.

• Xia Yang and Tai Nuo ended their dangerous clash without settling its outcome, and Xia Yang remained stuck at Level 29.5 until Tang Yuehua helped him break through and evolve the Hunyuan Technique.
• Xia Yang and Tang Yuehua confessed their love, but after Tang Xiao injured Xia Yang and warned him away from Yuehua, Xia Yang ended their relationship to protect her.
• After half a year, Xia Yang fled the Clear Sky Sect by leaping from a waterfall, and Tang Yuehua returned his Spirit Bone and kissed him goodbye.
• Xia Yang survived the river journey, reached Level 30, absorbed the three-thousand-year Spirit Bone, and traveled to Gengxin City before hiring the White Tiger Mercenary Group to help hunt a Golden Eyed Black Tiger.
• In the Star Dou Great Forest, Xia Yang’s group tracked the tiger while Yu Xiaogang, Flender, and Liu Erlong fought Yaojin Winged Dragons, and the mercenaries captured the tiger alive.
• Xia Yang forgave Yu Xiaogang for revealing the Whale Rubber secret but ended their friendship, and Yu Xiaogang gave him an invitation to his wedding with Liu Erlong.
• Tang Yuehua found Xia Yang with Bai He, embraced him, and explained that she had secretly left the Clear Sky Sect to search for him.

Xia Yang survived the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s sacrifice and its influence, then helped Tang Yuehua and Liu Erlong obtain new soul rings before pursuing the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. The arc ended with Xia Yang and Tang Yuehua crossing its poisonous barrier and reaching a small hill with little Soul Power left.

• Xia Yang and Tang Yuehua fled the four Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts with Bai He, but the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s sacrifice marked Xia Yang and bestowed a Spirit Bone that raised him to level thirty-six.
• Xia Yang’s new power helped him defeat a pack of Swift Wind Demon Wolves, but the tiger’s influence drove him into a killing frenzy until Tang Yuehua calmed him.
• Xia Yang and Tang Yuehua traveled to Heaven Dou City, where they stayed with Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong and prepared for their wedding.
• Yu Luomian interrupted Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong’s wedding by revealing that Liu Erlong was Yu Xiaogang’s younger sister, and Yu Xiaogang ran away.
• After Flender left to search for Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong joined Xia Yang and Tang Yuehua on a trip to Sunset Forest, where she and Tang Yuehua obtained new soul rings.
• Xia Yang and Tang Yuehua searched Sunset Forest for the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, then used Dugu Bo’s direction of travel to revise their route.
• Xia Yang recognized the Bilin Qijue Flower at the poisonous mist surrounding the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and he and Tang Yuehua entered the barrier with antidotes and protective gear.
• Xia Yang used his Soul Bone Skill to slow the miasma’s corrosion as he rushed Tang Yuehua through the poisonous mist, and they reached a small hill with his Soul Power nearly exhausted.

Xia Yang and his companions survived Dugu Bo, defeated Count Schultz’s household, and hunted a Dark Gold Fear Claw Bear that gave Xia Yang a powerful External Soul Bone. They reached Vast Sea City, where the Pirate Three Brothers were threatening Xia Yang’s parents, and Xia Shi confronted Wang Lufei as the fight began.

• Xia Yang absorbed Immortal Herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, while Tang Yuehua absorbed the Aromatic Silk Beauty and evolved her Martial Soul, and they escaped Dugu Bo and reunited with Liu Erlong.
• Xia Yang, Tang Yuehua, and Liu Erlong defeated Golden Mark and Count Schultz, but the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s influence overwhelmed Xia Yang until Tang Yuehua restrained it.
• The trio traveled to the Balak Kingdom and killed Old Count Schultz, then found his secret vault and a map to a hunting ground for a Dark Gold Fear Claw Bear.
• Xia Yang, Tang Yuehua, and Liu Erlong lured the eight-thousand-year-old bear into battle and killed it after Xia Yang weakened its legs and Liu Erlong attacked its joints.
• Xia Yang absorbed the bear’s Spirit Ring, reached Level Forty-Six, and gained an External Soul Bone that granted him the Tear Heaven God Claw.
• After Tang Yuehua obtained her third Spirit Ring, the trio traveled to Vast Sea City, where Tang Zhen told Tang Xiao and Bai He to check on Tang Yuehua without bringing her back immediately.
• At the Ice and Fire Hot Spring Hall, Xia Yang found the Pirate Three Brothers threatening the owner and recognized his father, Xia Shi, when the hall gate opened.
• Xia Yang ordered Tang Yuehua and Liu Erlong to attack the pirates, then struck Ma Shanzhi with Tear Heaven God Claw while Xia Shi fought Wang Lufei with Profound Ice Spike.

Xia Yang reunited with his parents, helped them and Liu Erlong strengthen their cultivation, then led his companions through Sea God Island’s trials and out to hunt Spirit Rings. After returning to Purple Pearl Island, he killed the pirate leader Ji Hanfei but began absorbing his energy as his companions guarded him.

• Xia Yang and his companions killed the Pirate Brothers, reunited with Xia Shi and Huo Yang, and learned that pirates had recently injured Huo Yang while she escorted cargo.
• Xia Yang gave his parents Immortal Herbs and Liu Erlong a Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower, which evolved her Fire Dragon Martial Soul and raised her Soul Power to level 56.
• Xia Yang revealed the Black Ball in his Sea of Consciousness and persuaded his parents, Tang Yuehua, and Liu Erlong to travel with him to Sea God Island after hunting Soul Rings for Xia Shi and Huo Yang.
• Xia Shi and Huo Yang hunted the Mystic Ice Dragon Turtle and Blazing Flame Sea Dragon Beast, reached level 72, and brought Xia Yang’s group to Sea God Island.
• Xia Yang, Tang Yuehua, and Liu Erlong received their divine assessments, and Xia Yang completed his first three trials while raising his Soul Power to level 56 and containing the Black Ball with Soul Guard.
• Xia Yang persuaded Bo Saixi to grant the group a year and a half away from Sea God Island by revealing that Tang Chen was trapped in the City of Slaughter.
• Tang Yuehua absorbed an eight-thousand-year Bewitching Sea Demon Spirit Ring and Liu Erlong absorbed a twenty-thousand-year Blazing Flame Sea Dragon Beast Spirit Ring before Xia Yang’s group reached Purple Pearl Island.
• Xia Yang killed Ke Mulin in a warehouse ambush, then joined his parents and companions in ambushing Ji Hanfei, whose death left Xia Yang absorbing his energy while the others guarded him.
