Shrek Academy solely governs Shrek City, one of the continent’s largest cities, with a population exceeding two million. It pays no taxes to any nation, a privilege unmatched by other academies. This independence and prosperity draw major commercial interests to the city. 11 30

The academy occupies Shrek City’s eastern sector, directly facing the Star Dou Great Forest. It serves as the continent’s first line of defense should a beast tide emerge from the forest. The city’s south, west, and north gates are public entrances, while the east gate is reserved exclusively for academy access. 11

Shrek publicly identifies itself as neutral and does not formally interfere in other powers’ affairs, allowing outside factions to recruit its graduates. Its intelligence network nevertheless reportedly monitors the original three great empires extensively, contributing to their mixed attitude toward the academy. 98 170

Administration

Sea God Pavilion

The Sea God Pavilion is Shrek Academy’s highest decision-making body. Its senior elders are the academy’s true authorities, while the four headmasters—Yan Shaozhe, Cai Meier, Xian Liner, and Qian Duoduo—occupy subordinate positions during Pavilion meetings. 80

Meetings are normally annual, though extraordinary meetings are convened during major crises. 80 109

During the crisis caused by Xuanzi’s near-fatal injuries, Mu En ordered the academy to activate its reserves, prioritize talented disciples, and increase support for defensive soul tools rather than relying solely on traditional soul master methods. 109

Inner Court

Inner Court disciples undertake surveillance missions graded by difficulty. Purple missions are the least dangerous, Black missions correspond to Soul Emperor–Soul Sage-level threats, and Red missions are exceptionally dangerous assignments generally suitable only for elite disciples. 81

Inner Court members are also expected to join the Shrek Inspection Team, assuming responsibility for pursuing Evil Soul Masters. Reserve Team members are informed that this duty is inseparable from a full Inner Court career. 95

Admissions and Student Assessment

Applicants undergo bone-age and soul-power testing during enrollment. Students who pass receive uniforms, school badges, dormitory keys, and a randomly assigned class. 12 13

The Tang Sect retains one annual recommendation slot. A recommended student may bypass the normal entrance examination, but must still pass the Freshman Assessment within three months or be expelled. 12

Outer Court assessments are a major elimination mechanism: students with insufficient cultivation are removed each year, while successful students can gain recognition through performance. 39

Moyuan, Ning Tian, and Wu Feng enrolled together and were assigned to Class Nine under homeroom teacher Mu Jin. 13

Shrek Seven Devils

The Shrek Seven Devils are the academy’s foremost combat representatives: the seven strongest Inner Court disciples under the age of twenty. The title is associated with the academy’s long-standing reputation for producing exceptional soul masters. 78

Selection follows a strict “strong prevail” principle. Provisional Seven Devils may be freely challenged by other Inner Court disciples for one week; if a challenger succeeds, the Seven Devils must then compete internally, and the weakest member yields their place. 78

The official team and Reserve Team train together before the All Continent Advanced Soul Master Academy Battle Soul Competition, using practice matches to understand each other’s abilities. 91
