• Soul Masters acquire soul rings by defeating and absorbing the rings of soul beasts. The absorption process can be physically violent, but a successful absorption raises soul power and grants a soul skill 4.

• At level seventy, a Soul Master can obtain a seventh ring and gain access to a Martial Soul True Body 139.

• Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor → Jade Phosphorous Flood Dragon — Dugu Bo's martial soul evolved after consuming the Earth Dragon Golden Melon, raising his soul power from level ninety-three to ninety-four 48.

Risks and Reputation

Evil-attribute martial souls are associated with severe social and personal danger. A Soul Master unable to overcome their inner demons may engage in uncontrolled slaughter and face suppression or execution by the Hall of Martial Souls 1 3.

Long Chen's Dark Night Demonic Lute and Taotie's devouring ability led to him being branded “The Evil Fallen One” after he devoured hostile Soul Masters. The Star Luo Empire publicly portrayed his actions as demonic and ordered him eliminated 128 129.
