Background / History

Tang San fought as part of the Shrek Seven Devils during the Soul Master Competition. In the Royal Fighting Team match, Long Chen's Dark Night Demonic Lute controlled him from afar; Tang San detoxified the Shi Family Brothers, then pierced his own body with the Eight Spider Lances while under the influence of the music. 35

While at the level-forty bottleneck, Tang San was targeted by Shi Nian of Blazing Brilliance Academy. Shi Nian trapped him in the Residual Dream, forcing him to relive the trauma of his former life and nearly breaking his mind. Tang Hao killed Shi Nian and allowed Tang San to fuse the head soul bone left behind, advancing both his spiritual power and soul power. 57 58

After gaining his fourth soul ring, Tang San became a major prospect of Martial Soul Hall. His possession of the Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer twin martial souls was publicly exposed during his battle with Huo Wu, drawing Bibi Dong's attention and an order for his elimination. 65 75 76

Tang San's later tournament battles repeatedly tested his resolve. Long Chen is a central source of Tang San's fear, humiliation, and later hatred. Tang San initially recognized Long Chen as terrifyingly strong, then grew increasingly obsessed with avenging Tang Hao, the Strength Clan, Da Ming, and Er Ming. 51 158 171
