Background / History

Xiao Wu enters Notting Junior Soul Master Academy as a work-study student and introduces her martial soul as “a very cute little white rabbit.” Though initially assigned the position of second sister in Lu Duzhou and Tang San's sibling hierarchy, she accepts the role happily after becoming the new leader of Seventh Dormitory and promising to protect its students. 3 4

Although she is a soul beast in human form, Xiao Wu initially has the mindset and understanding of a child. Lu Duzhou's explanation of the soul beast world's survival rules affects her deeply, while Tang San becomes uncomfortable with how quickly she grows close to Lu Duzhou. 4

During Tang San's first soul-ring hunt, Xiao Wu leaves the guarded area alone and confronts a hundred-year soul beast. She returns safely with her first soul skill, but the incident establishes her tendency to act recklessly and leads Lu Duzhou to discipline her. 7 8
