"No." Shirou was furious, but he tried his best to restrain himself. "You're throwing your life away. You're not living for Sakura—you're living for yourself. You're my friend, but even so, if you insist on going, then I'll have no choice but to break your legs."

"Th-that violent?! Shirou, you're going way too far!" Shinji shrank back in fright. "I just wanted to help you. Rider's dead, and I can't be of any help anymore. I didn't come to the Moon just to hold you back."

"Then you shouldn't have come to the Moon in the first place. I didn't want you coming here to chase after a slim chance of survival either." Shirou looked at Shinji irritably. "Listen. I can handle the enemy myself. You know you don't have a Servant now, so just stay in the student council room and do your work. That'll be the greatest help you can give me."

"Oh..." Shinji hung his head, clearly unconvinced by Shirou's words.

But convinced or not, he had to accept it. For the sake of his own safety, this was absolutely what he needed to do.

Still, something Shinji had said earlier seemed strange. Or rather, Shirou had always felt that there was something off about this Shinji.

He seemed to know something.

"But speaking of which, Shinji, did you really only come in when we entered the Inner Moon?"

"Why do you ask?" Shinji glanced at Shirou guiltily, then turned his head away, pretending he was in a bad mood and didn't want to deal with him. "You don't trust your friend?"

Shinji's reaction was far too intense. It practically proved that he was lying.

Shirou probed indirectly.

"Then what class was your Servant?"

"Rider."

As Shinji answered, he noticed that the air had grown much quieter.
