"I meant someone else. I thought you were hiding in your room because someone was in there." Hakuno didn't know whether she was disappointed or what, but in any case, she breathed a sigh of relief.

He was playing cat-and-mouse with those hostile programs, except there were thousands upon thousands of cats and only one mouse: Shinji.

"Uh... I'd thought Shinji might be able to help interpret a set of data Rin and the others found." Hakuno lowered her head. "Leo and the others were thinking of ways to defeat Lilith, so they started looking up information on her. They nearly got invaded by Lilith because of it. Good thing we had plenty of safeguards in place this time, or Sakura would've been in danger!"
"Oh? What happened?" Shirou hurriedly asked.
Shirou still cared deeply about Sakura, even if she truly wasn't the same person as the one on Earth.
