That was the terror of being ruled by Sakura.
Could the demon hidden within Sakura's heart really be that terrifying?
"Mr. Shirou, I don't think it's right to peek at a girl's diary," Roman whispered.
"I think so too. That's why, once Shinji finishes reading, I'm going to make him properly admit his mistake."
But weren't you reading along too? Roman silently complained, but after thinking it over, he decided not to say anything. If he spoke up now, Shirou might sell him out along with Shinji.
The Matou family home was an apartment, but it was a duplex. There was one floor below and another above.
After delivering the boxed lunches, Shinji went up to the second floor, with Shirou quietly following behind him.
Shinji opened the door, which let out a creaking squeal. It even carried the scent of magecraft.
"A few days ago, some barriers appeared in Sakura's room. Apparently, Rider taught her that magecraft. As soon as the door opens, Sakura will know someone has broken in. But since her accomplice is Shirou, she won't be too harsh," Shinji said lightly, as though his scheme had succeeded.
"I never thought you'd set me up, Shinji." Shirou said painfully, "I didn't break in! I was just following you!"
"We're both reading the diary anyway. What's the difference?"
Shinji quietly entered Sakura's room and picked up the diary. Shirou couldn't help starting to read as well. But if Sakura got angry, even if he was there, it probably wouldn't do any good.
The diary's completely seaweed-like cover made Shirou think of Shinji.
