"Wallace..." Berserker uttered a name.
Then he looked at Shirou.
"Thank you."
With those words of gratitude, the Card instantly ejected from Berserker's body, and Berserker's original form turned into a puppet.
This time, Berserker was truly dead, completely dead, without the slightest chance of revival to deliver another fierce blow to Shirou.
"Berserker..." Lancer walked forward and crouched before the puppet. "With this, you should be able to rest in peace, shouldn't you?"
"Your name is Wallace?"
"Yes."
Lancer nodded. "Probably. Berserker said it, so it's likely correct. I don't remember my own name. I only remember having such a close friend, obtaining this Card. It's a shame I've forgotten his name. Yet, even with Berserker's Card and under Mad Enhancement, he still remembered me."
Shirou opened his mouth, unable to say anything at that moment.
All words were superfluous, useless, and meaningless. For Lancer, who had lost most of his memories, he was now about to lose his dearest friend.
"So my name is Wallace, no wonder I run so fast!"
All that emotion was for nothing; how could this person be so heartless!
Eat my Bloodied Hound!
"Honestly, there's nothing to be sad about. Berserker died faster than me, which is a fortunate thing. His soul can find release a day sooner, and I can rest easy."
After speaking, Lancer paused.
It was a lie to say he wasn't sad, but at least he didn't want to show such an ugly side when his dearest friend departed.
"Please find me a Priest."

Chapter 21: Roll, Maron!
"When are you making lunch, Archer?" Lancer lounged against the table, playing with the PS4 Shirou had projected.
"Making lunch is impossible. It's impossible in this lifetime."
Shirou casually retaliated, knocking over the character Lancer was controlling. "You're so bad, you're practically dragging your feet. Next!"
"Yes! Senpai!"
Lancer slid down powerlessly, like a dried fish without dreams. Without games to play, he was dying.
"Can't you just cook something, Archer! Archer!"
"Please! This is my only request in this life and the next!"
