Wanxing Square was located on Sixth Street, in the center of Yanfeng Street.
Every night, it blazed with lights that intoxicated the senses, while towering skyscrapers rose one after another into the clouds.
The tallest building, built in a spiraling ascent, was one of the few new-style buildings in Yijiang City.
Wanxing Square belonged to Wanxing Group Co., Ltd., one of the Federation's top twenty commercial enterprises.
Across the various countries of the Federation, and even beyond the stars, it had established commercial plazas on such a massive scale.
The third floor of the plaza was the domain of the wealthy. Shops stood side by side, their goods exorbitantly expensive, leaving ordinary people able to do little more than look around.
Inside a store called Guyi Boutique, all manner of high-end luxury goods were sold. Clothing, cosmetics, bags, and watches were all exceptionally expensive Guyi-brand products. A single outfit could cost tens or even hundreds of thousands, and the cosmetics were no different.
Walking inside, one could see starlight glittering across the walls, as though they had entered an age of galaxies. The azure sky and twinkling stars formed a crystal-palace-like scene woven from high-tech virtual light and shadow.
It offered the wealthy an intoxicating, high-end experience, while making the poor feel so inadequate that they did not dare step inside.
Many people came to look, but few actually bought anything.
After browsing around, a well-built middle-aged woman casually asked for a Starry Sky Bag worth 120,000. Its surface was studded with numerous crystals, and its leather was embellished with the hide of a Five-Colored Giant Lizard, a creature unique to worlds beyond the stars.
Her purchase drew envious looks from many women nearby. But just as she finished paying and was about to leave, a handsome young man in a white jacket approached her with a warm smile.
"Miss, my girlfriend really likes this classic Starry Sky Guyi bag, but she has never been willing to buy one. I want to order one for her. Could I take a look?"
Anyone familiar with world-famous brands could recognize the red circular-square V-shaped emblem on the left side of the young man's chest.
It was made from silk spun by a Red Silkworm from the beast regions of Blue Star. It was a precious item, and the jacket alone was worth 30,000.
The young man was over six feet tall, handsome, and suave. Every gesture he made carried the poise of a wealthy young master.
The woman had intended to refuse, but as the man approached, an inexplicable scent wafted from him, and she handed him the bag in her hand.
The two began discussing the bag.
As they talked, they headed toward the restroom. The woman followed him as though she had lost her soul.
A smile curled across the young man's lips. Looking at the woman's rounded hips, a wicked gleam flashed in his eyes.
At that moment, a man in plain clothes appeared before him.
"Stop!"
Jiang Bing blocked the young man's path and asked probingly, "Are you Hu Biao?"
He was on duty here and had been casually walking around when he noticed that the young man was acting strangely. He had decided to question him, but it was only a guess—he was not certain that the man was the wanted criminal.
"Who is Hu Biao? I don't know him," the young man said calmly.
"Show me your ID. I need to inspect it."
"I didn't bring it..."
"Then you'll have to come back to the Patrol Inspection Office with me. Let's go!" Jiang Bing frowned and stepped forward.
"You're meddling in things that don't concern you!"
Seeing Jiang Bing approach, the young man's gaze turned cold. He decisively pulled a dagger from his waist and stabbed at Jiang Bing.
The dagger in his hand was exceptionally sharp. Jiang Bing dodged the instant it came at him, drew a broadsword from his waist, and slashed out arcs of light as the two began fighting.
The people in the surrounding shops fled in terror at the sight. In the blink of an eye, only the two of them remained on the third floor, battling beside the railing.
"Looks like you really are Hu Biao!"
Seeing the man's reaction, Jiang Bing became certain that he was the wanted criminal. But as the fight continued, Jiang Bing inwardly groaned. His opponent was immensely strong, and his attacks were vicious.
He had underestimated this murderous maniac. Since Hu Biao had committed so many crimes and still survived to this day, he was clearly not someone to be taken lightly.
As the battle continued, brown fur actually began growing from the skin on the back of his opponent's hands. He entered a frenzied state, every strike aimed to kill.
Rip!
Though Hu Biao wielded a dagger while Jiang Bing had a longer blade, after several exchanges, Jiang Bing had suffered many cuts all over his body and was bleeding.
"You bastard, you're asking to die!"
Hu Biao's face twisted viciously. The muscles across his body bulged, and under the surge of power, his pupils turned brown as well.
Whoosh!
The dagger stabbed forward. Jiang Bing twisted aside, and the blade plunged into the glass railing beside the third-floor plaza. With a crack, the glass burst from its center, fractures spreading outward like a spiderweb before the shattered pieces fell from above.
It showed just how powerful the strike had been. Jiang Bing swung his broadsword at him, but Hu Biao dodged aside, swiftly kicked Jiang Bing flying, then rushed forward and stabbed him the moment he was sent airborne.
Fortunately, Jiang Bing reacted quickly and held his blade horizontally to block. Even so, his shoulder was pierced, and blood poured from the wound.
Clang! Clang! Clang! Knowing he was no match for his opponent, Jiang Bing's face turned pale and cold sweat covered his body. He turned and ran, taking the chance to send a message calling for reinforcements.
Just as Hu Biao chased him to the end and he saw that he could not escape, Jiang Bing suddenly braced one hand against the railing and leaped over it, jumping down from the third floor.
But Hu Biao was even fiercer. He jumped down after him, terrifying the people in the mall in the distance.
"Die!"
Jiang Bing had just landed and rolled across the ground. Before he could steady himself, Hu Biao landed on both feet without cushioning the impact, then instantly charged at him with a slash.
Jiang Bing had also triggered an adrenaline surge, abandoning defense for a frenzied assault.
He only needed to stall a little longer to get away. Otherwise, if this continued, Hu Biao might really kill him.
Only after exchanging blows did he realize just how strong this murderous maniac was. He was no ordinary Grade 1 martial artist—at the very least, he was at the Sixth Stage of Grade 1.
Moreover, the other man seemed to possess some kind of berserk skill. His bursts of power were ferocious, and every slash aimed to kill.
Bang!
Jiang Bing was suddenly cut again, then kicked flying and sent crashing to the ground. Before he could get back up—
He saw a dagger descending toward his head. His pupils contracted sharply, and his vision swam.
Before the dagger even fell, a fragrant scent spilled from Hu Biao's sleeve, making Jiang Bing dizzy. Luckily, he was a martial artist, but even so, he could barely react in time.
He tilted his head aside. A blast rang out beside his ear as the dagger shattered the floor tiles, sending fragments spraying across his face.
Bang! Bang! Bang...
Hu Biao bent down and viciously stabbed at Jiang Bing's head. Jiang Bing kept shifting over short distances, but as his body grew weaker and weaker, the moment the sedative completely clouded his mind would be the moment of his death.
It was over!
Jiang Bing was running out of strength. Hu Biao's eyes were vicious as his arm stabbed down again and again—he could not withstand it.
He had never expected to fall into this man's hands today. His wife, children, and elderly parents at home... he should never have tried to play the hero.
But it was too late for regrets. There was no chance of turning things around now. Hu Biao had killed plenty of people; he would not care about killing one more.
He had been too reckless. He should have called for backup before acting. He simply had not expected this man to really be Hu Biao. He had only intended to question him, yet the other side had immediately turned violent.
This was Sixth Street. Without preparations in advance, there was simply no time to save anyone.
Yet just as Jiang Bing fell into despair, a figure darted over at high speed, accompanied by several familiar voices ringing in his ears.
"Chen Xia, be careful! He's a martial artist!"
They were the voices of Zhang Feng and several other colleagues.
Jiang Bing froze. At first, he was delighted, but then he remembered that Chen Xia was not yet a martial artist. Coming over now was just throwing his life away, and Jiang Bing immediately panicked.
Although he had received a message yesterday saying Chen Xia had broken through to become a martial artist, he had not had time to verify it.
But he did not believe it at all. He thought Chen Xia had sent the wrong message. Besides, even if Chen Xia had become a martial artist, there was no way he could match the wanted criminal before them. It was far too dangerous!
It was not just him. Yang Hua and the others, who had just rushed in from outside and seen the situation on the first floor of the shopping mall, did not dare to make a move for the moment.
But Chen Xia did not hesitate at all and charged straight in.
Chen Xia was extremely fast. Before he even arrived, the large knife in his hand flew from his grasp, hurtling ahead of him.
