Background / History

President Xiao presided over Mingzhu University's special-admissions assessment following the Bo City disaster. He was impressed that Cheng Xiaoyu had reached the Intermediate Level in the Shadow Element despite the disaster, and privately summoned him after accepting him into the university. 26

Using Space Element magic, Xiao brought Cheng Xiaoyu to his office and immediately recognized both his concealed Space Element and the unusually dense Dark Aura surrounding his Shadow Element. After witnessing Cheng Xiaoyu summon Shadow Soldiers, he identified the danger of such an ability becoming public knowledge and explained the existence of Calamity Users. 26
