Xi Yan explained why Fujitora might want the Straw Hat Pirates to defeat Doflamingo so he could push to abolish the Shichibukai, while preparing to protect his companions if the World Government intervened. As Xi Yan took Galette toward the former Royal Palace, Fujitora asked Smoker whether he remembered the man who had caused a scene at Mary Geoise two years earlier.
