After chatting with the neighbors and friends who had come to visit, Anduin had formed some impressions of the wizards. Mr. Lovegood had wonderfully strange ideas, but he was also innocent and far too blunt. Mrs. Lovegood was a Rune Scholar who had tried her hand at researching and developing spells.

The Diggory family were very down-to-earth. They seemed just like a kind couple from next door.

The Weasley family had invited Anduin to visit before the school year began. Part of the reason was that Molly had hit it off with him, and part of it was the Prewett brothers. Of course, Anduin suspected the main reason was that the whole family loved their food.

Mr. Weasley had taken a keen interest in Anduin when he learned he was a Muggle-born wizard. He was extraordinarily curious about the Muggle World, perhaps because he had spent his career in the Office for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts. His department mainly dealt with wizards carelessly casting spells on Muggle objects, but Anduin suspected Mr. Weasley was quite likely to abuse his position and try those spells himself.

The pleasant gathering passed all too quickly. The guests said their satisfied goodbyes to the Longbottom family and Anduin. The Longbottom couple were delighted with their holiday, grinning from ear to ear. Anduin's cooking had been nearly wiped out, and even Mrs. Longbottom felt she'd been well and truly vindicated, repeatedly praising his skills in the kitchen.

Once the Longbottom couple's holiday was over, they returned to their demanding work as Aurors. The Death Eaters had recently begun stirring again. Cases of them torturing and killing Muggles, or ambushing and attacking wizards and Aurors, kept piling up without any sign of stopping. Auror Headquarters was overwhelmed.
