While the Chamber of Secrets stirred a wave of panic at Hogwarts, Anduin was on the other side of the world, in the United States.

He hadn't come here just to get away from school. He'd received some information about Slytherin.

To be honest, Anduin hadn't expected the bounty he'd casually posted through Silver Flash Merchant and on the black market to pay off so quickly.

The information had come from David and Lister, the bounty hunters here in America.

Those two had made a fortune off him before and practically treated him like a money tree, so they'd both been extremely eager after Anduin posted the bounty.

They were certainly skilled, too, and had provided him with very detailed information. But it wasn't about where Slytherin had gone immediately after leaving Hogwarts. It was about one of his descendants.

And that descendant was connected to Ilvermorny, the American school of magic.

In the early seventeenth century, a direct descendant of Slytherin named Gumbly Gaunt inherited her ancestor's wand. She had attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and was not only a Parselmouth but also a staunch believer in Pure-blood supremacy.
