Why did this tower look so familiar?
Dumbledore stroked his beard and pondered for a long while, his expression growing more and more complicated.
Surely
he was just overthinking it.
After hastily ending the Divination, the old man began pacing around the room, seeming restless.
Nurmengard.
Why had he seen Nurmengard Tower in a prophecy about Voldemort's death?
He didn't understand.
"Whew~"
After who knew how long, Dumbledore took a deep breath and finally made up his mind.
There was no point in thinking about it any longer.
Some things had to be investigated in person.
With a light step, his figure vanished into thin air, leaving only the silvery water in the Pensieve rippling faintly.
Nurmengard.
The black stone tower soared into the clouds, shrouded in darkness all year round.
Lightning and thunder were the only things free to roam here.
Passing the mocking stone inscription that read "For the Greater Good," Dumbledore entered the tower.
As soon as he stepped inside, he was met by four or five fully alert guards.
"Stop! This isn't a place you can just wander into.
Wait, are you Mister Dumbledore?"
Halfway through their rebuke, some of the guards recognized Dumbledore. The famous European wizard's likeness was printed on cards even in the snacks children ate, so how could they not know him?
"That's me. Hello, everyone."
Dumbledore smiled warmly, without the slightest air of importance.
"May I ask what brings you here, Mister Dumbledore?"
Given the unusual circumstances, the guards had to be cautious.
There were plenty of ways to change one's appearance. How could they be sure the Albus Dumbledore standing before them wasn't someone in disguise?
"Well, there's something I'd like to ask 'that person' about. I believe I have the right to enter, don't I?"
Dumbledore replied vaguely, smiling
