"You mean to face the great Lord Xi'en alone? Human prophet, your recklessness will be your end!"
Xi'en flicked his tail, sending his massive body hurtling toward Bai Xiaowen!
Bai Xiaowen could not retreat.
He had gone to great lengths to clear this dueling ground with a buff skill. If he fell back and fought on the move, he would only run into the crowd again and let Xi'en play to his strengths.
He had to face Xi'en head-on within this arena, several hundred meters across!
Bai Xiaowen leaped from Rageclaw's broad back. With a howl, Rageclaw pounced.
The two enormous bodies collided in midair.

The one sent reeling was none other than the Brutal Lord, Xi'en!
Though Rageclaw was an agility-focused Boss Tier creature, his strength had risen past 70 through repeated stacks of Well-Trained and the help of the newly awakened Oakheart. Xi'en's original 77 strength, meanwhile, had been cut by 25% under the effects of Qiao Rui's Soul Melody, leaving him with less than 60!
Xi'en was enormous by Human Species standards, but Rageclaw still dwarfed him.
With all those factors at play, their collision naturally ended with Xi'en stumbling back. He was weaker, plain and simple. Whether he was a lord, a King Tier creature, or even a Divine-Blooded Creature made no difference.
Xi'en roared, coiled his tail to steady himself, and swung his great axe down at the charging Rageclaw.

Rageclaw's claws struck the great axe, jolting them both. But Rageclaw clearly had the upper hand. After a brief pause, he
