The Elite Snakefolk wore scarlet battle armor and carried strange weapons that looked rather like flamethrowers.
Sure enough, as soon as the red-armored Snakefolk neared the fighters, they unleashed great gouts of flame, scorching everyone in front of them, friend and foe alike.
"Hah..."
Bai Xiaowen exhaled and immediately ordered the Death Knight, who was fighting Xi'en, to ride toward Glop, the Snakefolk magic craftsman.
"You dare ignore me?"
Xi'en snorted and charged at Bai Xiaowen with his Meat-Cleaver Axe.
"You've got it wrong. I wouldn't dare ignore a lord." Bai Xiaowen sighed.
Footsteps thundered closer, and the ground trembled faintly. The Butcher had fought his way out of the crowd. Shrouded in dark purple mist, he planted himself in Bai Xiaowen's path once more and intercepted Xi'en.
Damn it! If this human prophet's aura weren't restricting me, how could this lumbering Corpse Monster possibly stop me? And that cursed flute...
Xi'en was furious. Each of Bai Xiaowen's three summoned creatures—Rageclaw, the Death Knight, and the Butcher—could tie him down and keep him from playing to his strengths. He had power to spare and nowhere to use it.

"Stop him!" Glop roared as he began preparing a second Flame Ray. At his command, the Snakefolk with flamethrowers formed a line and sprayed fire ahead, joining their flames into a vast curtain.
