Most enhancement results are just average effects. Therefore, many Awakened Ones with limited resources will save their Psionic Points to enhance weapons and armor, giving up on upgrading other equipment.

Li Shuyi's "Snake-Scale Armor," as Gold Equipment, reduces damage taken by 3% per level, reaching a staggering 18% damage reduction after +6. Even without the +4 effect, this 18% damage reduction alone Psionic Points invested in enhancing it, which is the allure of defensive gear enhancement.

Of course, the Snake-Scale Armor still has a special effect after being upgraded to +4, called "Slippery," which is similar to the Snakefolk Elite Tier's racial passive, increasing the evasion rate against melee attacks by 10%.

The enhancement effects of the Ghost Mist Veil and the Matriarch's Bracer were average, but what really caught Bai Xiaowen and Li Shuyi's eye was the effect of the Gold Equipment "Traveler's Boots," which had a rare effect called "Phase Walking."

Phase Walking: When activated, your movement speed increases by 25% for 5 seconds, during which time you ignore unit collision volume. Cooldown: 8 hours.

The term "ignore unit collision volume" means ignoring obstacles from enemy (or friendly) units, allowing for free movement across the battlefield. However, ignoring obstacles doesn't mean ignoring attacks; if you try to break out of enemy lines, you'll still take just as much damage.

It should be noted that when equipment Durability reaches zero, it does not mean that it is damaged. At this time, the Durability column will display a number such as 0/30. Awakened players can spend Psionic Points to maintain the equipment and restore its Durability to 30/30 when clearing a level or when entering the Spirit Realm.

What does "damaged" mean? For example, if Li Shuyi's sword is broken by an enemy's sharper weapon during a battle, its Durability will show as 0/0, meaning it's damaged. In this case, maintaining it with Psionic Points is useless; a professional must be found to repair it.

The professionals mentioned here mainly refer to those from the Spirit Realm. Of course, there are also some awakened individuals on Earth who take on the secondary profession of blacksmithing, but they are relatively rare.
