Just then, the two of them suddenly sensed more people approaching again. It seemed to be two or three patrols, around a dozen people in all, who were talking as they walked.

Once they drew closer, Li Shuyi and Han Xu could hear the voices as well, thanks to their keen hearing.

A somewhat aged, gloomy voice asked, "Have you found them?"

Another voice, belonging to a middle-aged man, replied, "Reporting to Elder Qiu, the brothers chased them all the way to the water valve, but found nothing."

Someone else said, "I'm afraid they've already escaped."

The aged, gloomy voice snorted. "Escaped? Not necessarily. Lead the way. I'll investigate personally."

Footsteps sounded again. Li Shuyi let out a breath and said in the Team Channel, "Looks like waiting was worthwhile. They've lost another High Elite Tier boss, so they should be easier to deal with."
