The White Phoenix Team did not regroup.

After the battle at the southeastern altar, Bai Xiaowen had figured out how the smaller altars were defended. Usually, only one of Naitu lu's students—a spellcaster of the Leader Tier—stood guard, backed by a group of Elite Snakefolk and a group of slave warriors.

General Deke's appearance had been an exception.

In a surprise attack like this, time was everything. They had to pick off the enemy before they could react and assemble.

Regrouping the whole team to attack one area would be too slow.

Li Shuyi and Qiao Rui both had Hero Classes. The two of them could certainly take a small altar. The main problem was the number of lesser enemies, but the army of freed human laborers could handle those.

As for Bai Xiaowen and Han Xu, there was even less cause for concern. Bai Xiaowen could be an army on his own without any outside help. Han Xu had stayed with him instead of taking the sailors to support Li Shuyi and Qiao Rui only so he could protect Rageclaw and give him a better chance to deal damage.

The White Phoenix Team therefore split into two groups. Bai Xiaowen and Han Xu headed north to attack the altar in the northern part of the Sacrificial District, while Qiao Rui and Li Shuyi led the laborers west toward the southwestern altar.

The two groups kept in touch through simple signals made with the flight path of Qiao Rui's Falcon Spirit.

Once all three altars had been taken, they would regroup at the central great altar for a final battle with Priest Naitu lu.

Attacking on two fronts would also make Naitu lu wary of leaving the central great altar to reinforce the other areas. If he went to support
