Final Battle Aboard the Dreadnought

Above the Ghost Dreadnought, two dark shapes grew larger and larger. They were the two White Eagles, Yi-Yi and Er-Er.

Bai Xiaowen shaded his eyes and looked at the enormous elemental not far away. "Now that's an entrance."

"Stop watching the show... We need to get aboard." Qiao Rui chided him from the other White Eagle.

All five members of the White Phoenix Team sat on the White Eagles' backs. Bai Xiaowen and Han Xu, being heavier, rode Yi-Yi, while Qiao Rui, Cecilia, and Li Shuyi rode Er-Er.

The two White Eagles were strong enough to carry the weight, but they could only circle slowly in place, not fly at full speed. Bai Xiaowen had no need for them to travel, though. They only had to wait here for their chance.

With two powerful psychics using Psychic Shielding, and the hot steam obscuring the sky, neither the formidable Snakefolk mages nor the lookouts aboard the Ghost Dreadnought noticed the White Phoenix Team.

"Things are going even better than I expected," Bai Xiaowen said over the Team Channel as he steered Yi-Yi into a dive toward the Ghost Dreadnought. "Vazhatas actually went into the sea himself... I thought a lord like him wouldn't make a move so easily, and that we'd have a hard fight once we boarded. But now Kolorios has him tied up, our job is much easier."

From the start, Bai Xiaowen had intended to make their stand aboard the dreadnought!

"Trading one Skeleton Sword-and-Shield Soldier for this was well worth it," Li Shuyi said with a smile.

Before the Magic Crystal Cannons fired, the entire White Phoenix Team had already mounted the White Eagles and taken to the sky. The only ones left on the assault boat were several Snakefolk prisoners they had captured while gathering intelligence.
