Rageclaw vs. Aibize

Awakened skeleton soldiers swarmed across the Ghost Dreadnought, clashing fiercely with the Snakefolk army.

It was bound to be an unfair fight. Skeleton soldiers could be smashed to pieces, but that hardly mattered. Delifa's Corpse Revival was still active: for every Snakefolk soldier who fell, another skeleton rose.

Fortunately for the Snakefolk, they had sent plenty of commanders. Aibize and the other two Snakefolk generals could each destroy a skeleton soldier in one or two attacks, barely keeping the situation stable. Their Life Value, however, was slowly being whittled away.

What gave Aibize and the others confidence was the sight of five more Snakefolk generals behind them, leading the remaining troops toward the dreadnought. Not far behind those generals, old Morken and his spellcasters provided support, sending basic spells streaking across the sky.

Bai Xiaowen had no intention of letting the Snakefolk commanders bully his skeleton soldiers. Butcher and Rageclaw charged in at once.

"Come on!" Aibize snorted. He slammed his heavy halberd into the deck, sending a shock wave outward. Butcher and Rageclaw, both close by, were severely slowed, while targets farther away were slowed to a lesser degree.

Aibize leveled his heavy halberd with both hands, stepped forward, and unleashed Tactical Thrust! He ignored Butcher, who looked tough to bring down, and aimed straight for Rageclaw.

Rageclaw was normally quicker, but slowed as he was, he could not dodge. He could only twist enough to protect his vitals. With a sharp rip, the halberd's blade sliced across his flank, carving a deep gash.

Blood sprayed!

A flash of satisfaction crossed Aibize's eyes. He raised his halberd and brought it down toward Rageclaw's skull. He had already sized up the giant wolf: speed was his strength, but endurance was his weakness. He could not take much punishment.
