Ch. 901Sea Battle at the Deserted Island

Bai Xiaowen and his crew fought off waves of Snakefolk slave soldiers as the Ghost Dreadnought sailed toward and grounded on the deserted island. Morken ordered a third attack to force Bai Xiaowen to reveal his hidden strength.

  • The Ghost Dreadnought's Magic Crystal Cannons tore into several Ghost Ships, and Cecilia set the dreadnought sailing toward the island.
  • Morken ordered the Snakefolk to capture the dreadnought, while Bai Xiaowen summoned Butcher and his other Elite Tier summons to defeat the first wave of boarders.
  • Bai Xiaowen drove the dreadnought onto the deserted island, where Cecilia and the summons repelled a second wave of slave soldiers.
  • Bai Xiaowen sensed Morken's powerful psychic gaze and saw him across the sea.
  • Morken rejected Aibize's request to lead the elite halberdiers directly and ordered squads of halberdiers to join the slave soldiers in a third charge.

Ch. 902The Fourth Charge!

Bai Xiaowen’s forces repelled the Snakefolk’s third charge while Morken struggled to assess their strength. Morken then committed a much larger force to a fourth attack, sending Aibize and several generals toward the Ghost Dreadnought.

  • Cecilia, Kitz, Rageclaw, and the other summoned creatures fought off the third charge led by Snakefolk Halberd Warriors.
  • Rageclaw held the front line with the Butcher, while Cecilia and the ranged fighters remained protected behind them.
  • Bai Xiaowen watched the Black Soul Stone grow as the defeated enemies’ souls accumulated.
  • Morken remained wary because Bai Xiaowen had not revealed his strength, and Aibize urged him to stop sacrificing troops in repeated tests.
  • Morken ordered Aibize and three other generals to launch the fourth charge with a hundred Halberd Warriors and five hundred slave fighters, while Boyue and Kaish provided distant support.

Ch. 903We Were Tricked!

Bai Xiaowen and his allies fought off a large Snakefolk assault, and he killed the spear-throwing general Somak with a single shot. Though the Snakefolk realized the shot had been a bluff about Bai Xiaowen’s strength, Morken ordered all forces to join the attack and capture or kill him.

  • Aibize led a large Snakefolk force onto the Ghost Dreadnought, where he knocked Butcher aside and another general wounded Rageclaw.
  • A Snakefolk spear-thrower struck Cecilia, but Bai Xiaowen’s summoned skeleton blocked the follow-up spears.
  • Bai Xiaowen used Intimidation and his Desert Eagle to kill Somak with one critical shot, frightening the Snakefolk.
  • Aibize rallied the Snakefolk and charged Bai Xiaowen, who slowed him with Frost Shard and resumed the fight with his allies.
  • Morken realized Bai Xiaowen had used the flintlock to bluff about his strength and ordered all forces to attack, with the casters providing cover.

Ch. 904Four-Sided Encirclement, Center Bloom

Bai Xiaowen used the Prophecy Tablet to lure Morken’s Snakefolk into a four-sided encirclement by the Coalition of Nations. As the trapped Snakefolk renewed their assault on the grounded Ghost Dreadnought, Delifa raised fallen enemies as empowered skeleton soldiers to help defend it.

  • Bai Xiaowen fired the Ghost Dreadnought’s Magic Crystal Cannons at the assault boats, slowing the Snakefolk advance and capsizing Morken’s boat.
  • Morken learned that the Coalition of Nations had arrived and surrounded his forces, then realized Bai Xiaowen had used the dreadnought as bait.
  • Morken ordered the Snakefolk to keep attacking, and Boyue’s conch-shell horn rallied them to charge the dreadnought.
  • Cecilia fought off the attackers while Bai Xiaowen told Delifa to begin her spell, and the Snakefolk tried to interrupt her chant.
  • Delifa completed Corpse Revival, and Bai Xiaowen strengthened the newly raised skeleton soldiers with Symbiosis, Rageclaw’s Howl, and Commanding Roar.

Ch. 905Rageclaw vs. Aibize

Bai Xiaowen supported Rageclaw in a battle against the Snakefolk generals aboard the Ghost Dreadnought. Rageclaw killed Aibize and gained more strength, leaving him an even more strength-focused Wolf King.

  • Aibize slowed Butcher and Rageclaw, then wounded Rageclaw with his heavy halberd.
  • Bai Xiaowen shared his rising strength with Rageclaw through Symbiosis while using Winter's Wrath Wand to slow Aibize.
  • Rageclaw struck Aibize with critical hits, tore off one of his arms, and pinned him to the deck.
  • Bai Xiaowen and his skeleton soldiers held back the Snakefolk as Rageclaw killed Aibize.
  • Rageclaw dealt most of the damage to Aibize and gained two points of base strength.

Ch. 906Coalition of Nations

Bai Xiaowen used Rageclaw to defeat two more Snakefolk generals while the Coalition of Nations launched a coordinated assault on the Ghost Ships. Morken became trapped between Bai Xiaowen’s skeleton army and the advancing coalition.

  • Rageclaw defeated two Snakefolk generals aboard the dreadnought and gained three points of strength.
  • Morken arrived with his forces, found Aibize and the other generals dead, and pressed his attack on Bai Xiaowen.
  • Dorothy Goldenleaf, Basaka, Harold, and the other coalition leaders led their forces in boarding and capturing the Ghost Ships.
  • Ahan overwhelmed the Snakefolk defenders and destroyed an assault boat by hurling part of a mast at it.
  • Bai Xiaowen told Morken to stop struggling as skeletons blocked his way and the coalition closed in behind him.

Ch. 907Taking to the Skies

Bai Xiaowen escaped Morken’s attempt to take him down, and the Snakefolk scattered into the sea under pursuit by the Coalition of Nations. After freeing the Ghost Dreadnought, Bai Xiaowen set course to reinforce Shu Yi and Qiao Rui, whose raid on the Snakefolk bases might face more resistance than expected.

  • Bai Xiaowen and Cecilia escaped the grounded dreadnought aboard White Eagle Yi-Yi, leaving Morken unable to carry out his threat.
  • Morken ordered the Snakefolk to scatter into the sea and regroup, but the Coalition of Nations killed many as they fled through the shallows.
  • Bai Xiaowen told Ahan to pursue the Snakefolk with captured Ghost Ships, and trained human mages boarded them to operate the vessels.
  • Bai Xiaowen used his skeleton soldiers and summoned creatures to push the Ghost Dreadnought back into the sea.
  • Bai Xiaowen set course to reinforce Shu Yi and Qiao Rui, then worried that the raid on the Snakefolk bases might face more resistance than expected.

Ch. 908Sweep the Bases

Bai Xiaowen searched for the missing Snakefolk priest Orwin, then joined Shu Yi and the others as they attacked a Snakefolk base. The base fell, and the newly freed human laborers joined the Freedom Legion.

  • Bai Xiaowen found the Nataki base destroyed and sailed toward another Snakefolk base.
  • Cecilia spotted the intact bubble shield, and Bai Xiaowen entered the base after realizing his teammates were already fighting inside.
  • Bai Xiaowen and Cecilia reached the central altar, where Li Shuyi, Han Xu, Qiao Rui, and Captain Julian were finishing off the Snakefolk garrison.
  • Bai Xiaowen's arrival lifted the freed laborers' morale, while the Snakefolk began to flee.
  • Butcher's poison mist broke the Snakefolk formation, and Li Shuyi led the Freedom Legion in pursuit until the battle ended.

Ch. 909Oni Mask LV2

The White Phoenix Team destroyed the Snakefolk bases’ Divine Runes and escaped the Bonus Waters before the protective bubble collapsed. Back aboard the Ghost Dreadnought, Bai Xiaowen planned the fate of their growing army, while Li Shuyi chose a new Oni Mask skill.

  • The White Phoenix Team destroyed the central altar and the Divine Runes at the Snakefolk bases, then returned with the laborers as the bubble shield vanished and seawater rushed back in.
  • Qiao Rui reported that the three forward bases lacked Heart-Eating Demon Worm hatcheries, and Bai Xiaowen concluded that the Wogata Tribe base was a rear production base.
  • Bai Xiaowen planned to send unsuitable laborers back to the continent and keep about a thousand elite soldiers, then the team tallied their treasure chests and Soul Essence gains.
  • Li Shuyi reached LV2 with her Oni Mask and asked Bai Xiaowen to help her choose between Oni Body, Oni Visage, and Oni Heart.
  • Li Shuyi chose Oni Heart, which summoned ancestral samurai spirits to attack all living beings except the mask wearer.

Ch. 910Venomous Jar

Bai Xiaowen and his companions opened their campaign treasure chests and sorted the rewards aboard the Ghost Ship. They assigned Cecilia a powerful cloak and examined a deadly one-use poison item before setting out to reorganize the Freedom Legion.

  • Bai Xiaowen ordered the Ghost Ship to surface and head for Chakaluo Port while the group prepared to weed out the Freedom Legion’s weak members.
  • The group opened dozens of Silver Treasure Chests and found a Viper Fang that could add an extra enhancement effect to equipment.
  • They opened nine Golden Treasure Chests and found Gold Equipment, Enhancement Cards, Superior Psionic Crystals, the Scale of Sanctuary, and a Venomous Jar.
  • Bai Xiaowen chose Cecilia to receive the Snake-Shed Cloak, and Qiao Rui willingly gave up her claim because the cloak suited Cecilia better.
  • Bai Xiaowen assessed the Venomous Jar’s large poisonous zone and its potential to inflict heavy damage on enemies and allies alike.

Ch. 911A Botched Pursuit

Bai Xiaowen organized more than 1,500 sailors into a fighting force and brought the Ghost Dreadnought to Chakaluo Port after clearing the Snakefolk bases. There, Ahan revealed that the coalition’s pursuit had failed because Orwin had been lying in wait as Morken’s hidden backup.

  • Bai Xiaowen recruited and reorganized the sailors, assigning the elderly and frail to support work and forming 1,500 combat troops into the Freedom Legion.
  • Bai Xiaowen assessed Julian and the sailors’ weak combat skills, then planned to have Ahan send instructors to train them.
  • The White Phoenix Team arrived at Chakaluo Port with two Ghost Ships and told Ahan and the coalition representatives that the Snakefolk bases had been swept away.
  • Ahan apologized for a failed pursuit, and Bai Xiaowen realized the coalition had encountered Orwin, who had secretly kept his forces in reserve.

Ch. 912Set Out! Return to the Sea Eye

Bai Xiaowen took command of the coalition’s leaders and set out with a small fleet to find the sacred artifact at the Scorchflow Sea Eye. There, he confronted Kolorios and submerged the Ghost Dreadnought while the others kept the Steam Element lord occupied.

  • Bai Xiaowen explained that the Snakefolk leaders’ escape did not matter because their bases had been destroyed, then turned the coalition’s attention to the sacred artifact.
  • The coalition leaders offered Bai Xiaowen command, and he ordered a swift expedition after confirming that Catherine and the eight archmages were prepared.
  • Bai Xiaowen led six ships from Chakaluo Port toward the Scorchflow Sea Eye, while Julian and the Freedom Legion remained behind to train.
  • At the sea eye, Kolorios recognized Bai Xiaowen and tried to pull the Ghost Dreadnought into the whirlpool, but the ship stayed beyond his reach.
  • After Knight Harold asked for a plan, Bai Xiaowen told the others to keep Kolorios occupied and guided the Ghost Dreadnought beneath the surface.

Ch. 913Radiance Connecting Earth and Sky

Bai Xiaowen triggered an undersea volcano to erupt, revealing the Sacred Artifact Balgra's Retribution. The leaders returned to the new volcanic island, where Kolorios emerged to defend the artifact.

  • Bai Xiaowen used Delifa's power to scan the undersea mountain, found a weak point, and ordered the mages to bombard it with the Ghost Dreadnought's Magic Crystal Cannons.
  • Bai Xiaowen surfaced and warned the leaders to retreat as the damaged seabed grew unstable and the volcano erupted.
  • The eruption devastated Kolorios and revealed that the volcano's heat had created the Scorchflow Sea Eye and surrounding Steam Waters.
  • Two hours later, Bai Xiaowen and the leaders returned to the cooled volcanic island and spotted Balgra's Retribution hovering above a magma pool.
  • Kolorios emerged from the pool and attacked, so Bai Xiaowen and the leaders prepared to defeat him before claiming the Sacred Artifact.

Ch. 914Besieging the Elemental Lord

Bai Xiaowen, the archmages, and the bosses joined forces to defeat Kolorios through his three forms. The chapter ended with Balgra’s Retribution floating above Kolorios’s remains and Bai Xiaowen focused on the Dark Gold Chest nearby.

  • Bai Xiaowen arranged the melee bosses and eight archmages around the lava islet to attack Kolorios with frost spells.
  • Kolorios split into seven Steam Elements and targeted the archmage Gibbs, but Bai Xiaowen’s summoned Skeleton Sword-and-Shield Soldiers shielded him.
  • Kolorios entered his Flame Lord phase and struck Basaka with his fiery hammer, while Ahan and the others continued attacking.
  • The group depleted Kolorios’s Life Value, and his death released a ring of fire that hit nearly everyone surrounding him.
  • Balgra’s Retribution and a Dark Gold Chest floated above Kolorios’s remains, drawing the bosses’ attention to the hammer and Bai Xiaowen’s interest to the chest.

Ch. 915Visions Return

Bai Xiaowen watched Basaka claim Balgra's Retribution and ascend to lord, then received a vision of a flooded underground world and forest. The fleet sailed back from the Scorchflow Sea Eye, and the White Phoenix Team prepared to open the Dark Gold Chest.

  • Bai Xiaowen suggested the leaders draw lots to test who could wield the sacred artifact, and Basaka was chosen first.
  • Basaka took up Balgra's Retribution, which empowered him and raised him to lord.
  • Basaka accidentally threw the hammer into lava, but it floated back into his hand, and Ahan helped him adjust to its power.
  • Bai Xiaowen urged the leaders to build a stable alliance before the Doom Bracelet flared and showed him a vision of a nine-headed figure, a collapsing underground world, and a forest overwhelmed by waves.
  • Bai Xiaowen told the leaders he had seen a vision but could not explain its contents, and the fleet sailed back from the Scorchflow Sea Eye.
  • The White Phoenix Team found a moment aboard ship to open the Dark Gold Chest.

Ch. 916The Earthquake and the Undersea Forest

After the allied fleet defeated Kolorios, the Camelot Queen reported that an earthquake and rising seawater had submerged Amusha Forest in Xisidir, threatening its Elven settlements. Bai Xiaowen recognized the disaster from a vision on the Doom Bracelet and agreed to travel there by teleportation array while seeking ancient records about the continent’s changing terrain.

  • Bai Xiaowen’s group received a D-Tier Dark Gold Chest reward from Kolorios, which contained an exhausted Dim Flame Core, and Bai Xiaowen gained nearly thirty thousand Psionic Points.
  • After the fleet returned to Chakaluo Port, Catherine summoned Bai Xiaowen to a conference with Ahan and the allied leaders, where the Camelot Queen appeared through a Dragonhide Scroll.
  • The Camelot Queen reported that an earthquake had sunk Amusha Forest beneath rising seawater and that the Snakefolk’s Ghost Ship had been seen nearby.
  • Dorothea Goldenleaf urged an immediate rescue, and Ahan said the army could reach Xisidir through the Torin Kingdom only after several days of travel.
  • Bai Xiaowen proposed using civilian merchant ships to begin evacuations and teleporting elite fighters to Xisidir, then agreed to go himself and consult ancient texts about the Black Tide Continent’s terrain changes.

Ch. 917Prospects for Grand Unification

Bai Xiaowen asked the alliance leaders for three treasures to improve his abilities, but admitted they were not essential to fighting the Snakefolk. His honesty strengthened the leaders’ trust, and the group began traveling toward the Elf Kingdom to pursue his requests.

  • The Camelot Queen suggested that Bai Xiaowen consult Elvenkind for ancient books about changes to the landscape, and Dorothea offered to seek him access to the Wisdom Treehouse.
  • Bai Xiaowen requested the Elf Kingdom’s Crimson Oakheart, the Dwarf Kingdom’s Elder Rune Armor, and the Orc Kingdom’s Mother of Direwolves.
  • When Dorothea asked whether the items were essential to fighting the Snakefolk, Bai Xiaowen said they were personally important to him and refused to lie about their purpose.
  • Bai Xiaowen’s honesty raised the leaders’ Affection Levels, while Dorothea and Ponga Graybeard agreed to report his requests to their kingdoms.
  • The Guardian Faction’s fleet sailed home, while Bai Xiaowen, Ahan, and other senior fighters traveled ahead by teleportation array toward the Elf Kingdom.

Ch. 918Two Queens

Bai Xiaowen arrived in Mushadir, where the elves gave him an elaborate welcome before he met the Elf Queen. She granted him access to the Wisdom Treehouse and asked him to investigate the disasters and explain his interest in the Crimson Oakheart.

  • Elven guards, Star Mages, and attendants welcomed Bai Xiaowen and escorted him by unicorn to the palace.
  • The Camelot Queen met Bai Xiaowen and personally accompanied him to the Elf Queen.
  • The Elf Queen asked Bai Xiaowen about the earthquake and flood that submerged much of Xisidir.
  • Bai Xiaowen linked the Amusha Forest disaster to the collapse in the Bonus Mountains but said he needed to consult ancient texts before judging whether Amotava was involved.
  • The Elf Queen granted Bai Xiaowen access to the Wisdom Treehouse, urged him to find answers quickly, and asked whether he wanted the Crimson Oakheart.

Ch. 919Ancient Tree Cyril

The Elven Queen brought Bai Xiaowen and the Camelot Queen to meet the ancient oak Cyril and ask for his Crimson Oakheart. Cyril agreed to give it to Bai Xiaowen, but the Elven Queen revealed that he would sleep for five hundred years afterward.

  • The Elven Queen led Bai Xiaowen and the Camelot Queen through Mushadir to meet the ancient oak Cyril.
  • Cyril offered the visitors Oak Fruits, which Bai Xiaowen learned could restore half of a person's Life Value and mental power outside combat.
  • The Elven Queen introduced Bai Xiaowen as the prophet who had helped defeat the Snakefolk lord and recover one of the Seven Sacred Artifacts.
  • The Elven Queen asked Cyril to give Bai Xiaowen his Crimson Oakheart, and Cyril agreed after explaining that it was not vital to his survival.
  • The Elven Queen told Bai Xiaowen that losing the Crimson Oakheart would leave Cyril asleep for five hundred years.

Ch. 920Wisdom Treehouse

Bai Xiaowen accepted a mission to uncover why the Amusha Forest region sank, with the Crimson Oakheart as his reward. He entered the Wisdom Treehouse to research the disaster and rapidly learned to read Elven as he searched for more records.

  • Cyril assured Bai Xiaowen that the ancient oak would continue bearing Oak Fruit after its Crimson Oakheart was taken.
  • The Elf Queen offered the Crimson Oakheart in exchange for Bai Xiaowen discovering the truth and evidence behind Amusha Forest's sinking, and he accepted the mission.
  • The Elf Queen gave Bai Xiaowen a leaf that served as an entry token to the Wisdom Treehouse, and an elven envoy guided him there.
  • The Ancient Tree Spirit admitted Bai Xiaowen to the treehouse and produced seven books on ancient topography for his research.
  • Bai Xiaowen quickly learned to read Elven and asked the Ancient Tree Spirit for every kind of book related to changes in the Black Tide Continent's terrain.
