The poet wondered curiously, "How high-end is it?"

"Hmm," the old man was speechless at the question, but for some reason, he still explained, "About ten weeks' wages."

Upon hearing this, the poet looked again at the broken test tube in his hand and instinctively exclaimed, "How extravagant!"

"What?" The cold-looking young man seemed to have heard the question but hadn't quite grasped it, and asked, "Leonard, have you discovered anything?"

The young man called Leonard quickly retorted, "No, what about you, Frye?"

After a sigh, Frye said helplessly, "No, let's go back and give this broken vial to Old Neil so he can try it with Ritual Magic."

"These damned bastards, using such a vicious method against the captain, they've rendered him bedridden for the next two weeks!"

After Frye left, the aged voice echoed deep within Leonard's mind again, saying, "I advise you to stop investigating. Anyone who can instantly defeat two Sequence Seven and afford this kind of potion must be of a high, if not low, Sequence Six. If you anger her, she'll wipe out your entire squad."

As Leonard returned to the carriage and Frye drove away, the aged voice continued to urge him to guide his teammates, not to investigate the matter further, and since their lives were not in danger on the return journey, to act as if nothing had happened and let it be a thing of the past.

Throw the test tube out.

However, upon returning to headquarters, Leonard still disregarded the old man's advice and reported the matter to the team elders, instructing them to use Ritual Magic to investigate.

As for why he didn't report it to the squad leader—because he was still in bed.

An hour later, when Old Neil, one of the team's elders, emerged from the divination room, he shook his head at the expectant crowd and said, "I've tried many methods, but none of them worked—"

Upon hearing this, the expectant crowd was instantly disappointed. When Old Neil asked them whether to report the matter, they all lowered their heads, too ashamed to make a decision.

And so the matter was suppressed by everyone. Even after Dunn recovered half a month later, he did not choose to report it, because it was too embarrassing.

Regarding this humiliation, only one elderly person felt extremely fortunate that they did not investigate or report it, and sighed, "Thank goodness, we don't have to change hosts."

On February 3, 1348, in the afternoon, as the Steam train bound for Bexland Tingen City pulled into the station, Altair, without any luggage and dressed somewhat disheveled, left without stopping.

--

Arriving at the station entrance, I took a taxi to Bexland, the West Borough, Williams Street, and the vicinity of Ralph Pound's ancestral home.

After getting off the bus, Altair cautiously arrived at his ancestral home. Upon entering, he discovered that the house, which was currently under renovation, was completely empty.

When Altair arrived at the entrance to the tunnel, following the clues left by Hahn, he found Adam already waiting at the door.

After nodding to each other, the two entered the secret passage together. As if to pass the time, Altair asked as they walked, "If I want to move through the city, approximately what advancement Sequence do I need?"

"At least Sequence Four Manipulator is required," Adam replied casually.

Adam was not surprised that Altair could ask this question, because during his observations of the Mind World, he had discovered that Altair had tried to use Dream Traversal to Bexland, but had failed.

The two chatted as they walked, and the snakes that were still hibernating nearby fled as if they had encountered their natural enemies upon seeing them.

After walking for a few minutes, the two arrived at a stone gate. Altair stepped forward, opened it, glanced at the six god statues, memorized their appearance, and then stepped forward again to walk deeper into the area.

Soon, Altair and Adam arrived at the door of the last room. At this moment, her Spirituality, like the snake before her, encountered its natural enemy, constantly warning her to leave immediately, as there was great danger here.

Altair then looked at Adam and chuckled, "Boys first."

Adam smiled and nodded. As soon as he opened the door, a voice, arrogant yet slightly provocative, rang out. "Adam, I didn't expect that after two thousand years, you would only dare to see me now, and you even brought a Demoness with you."

"What, are you here to offer me some warmth?"

"Or are you, this inhuman, paranoid maniac, unable to bear loneliness any longer, and starting to succumb to corruption, indulging in the pleasures of Demoness?"

Ha~ha~ha

Upon hearing this, Altair's face instantly darkened, and he muttered casually, "No wonder you ended up as hot pot broth, you really have a sharp tongue."

Upon hearing this, the person in the distance fell silent, lost in thought, as if pondering what hot pot actually was. Altair, taking the opportunity, looked at Adam and asked, "Is he always this cheeky?"

Adam nodded slightly and explained, "You know the Hunter Pathway, Sequence Eight is called the Provoker. His current behavior is just like yours—he's made provocation a habit."

After listening to the explanation, Altair, taking advantage of the situation, explained, "Oh, I forgot, you probably don't know what hot pot is. It's a kind of food, mostly red in color, and there are even three-flavor hot pots."

"When people want to eat, they boil water and put the ingredients in, just like you were made into Potion."

"No, you're slightly better than that; after all, you can wash it and reuse it."

Red Angel Evil Spirit remained silent, Altair added, "For example, right now, I'm not here to offer you warmth, but to receive the slave Red Maid I just bought."

No sooner had Altair finished explaining Adam casually added, as if to deliver a fatal blow, "What she said is true."

At that moment, all three thoughts— Red Angel Evil Spirit— fell silent in unison. After a few seconds, one of them said, "You really have a talent for sarcasm. Interested in switching to the Hunter?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, two gashes appeared on either side of the Red Angel Evil Spirit's cheeks, and three mouths simultaneously chanted, "King of the Sky, Emperor of the Sea, ----"

"A symbol of strength and glory, the great knight----"

"The Lord that Created Everything, ----"

Before the three had even finished reciting, Adam instantly silenced them.

Seeing this, Altair mocked again, "Idiot! Couldn't you have chosen a shorter name?"

Once the two had fully entered the sealed area, Altair looked toward the source of the sound and saw a figure sitting in a high-backed chair.

He was tall and imposing, with long, fiery red hair that cascaded down like flames. His face, though young and handsome, was covered with strange flaws. There was a phantom battle flag mark on his forehead, and two bleeding, pulsating mouths split open on either side of his cheeks.

Upon seeing this, Altair remarked, almost provocatively, "His face is alright, it fits my aesthetic standards."

"Red Puppy, show me your teeth, let me see how strong they are. After all, my main reason for buying you was to have you bite people."
