One Move, Gravely Wounded!
The Angel God's overwhelming divine pressure swept across the entire battlefield in an instant. Ordinary taxi drivers and low-level Soul Master immediately knelt down, their heads bowed, their courage to even raise their eyes crushed by the pressure.
Only Soul Grandmaster whose cultivation has reached a certain level can barely circulate their Soul Power to maintain a standing posture.
Huo Yuhao felt the genuine God pressure, and for the first time, he felt an overwhelming sense of heaviness in his heart.
It was a power beyond the comprehension of Soul Master, like standing before a vast ocean where, no matter how good you are at swimming, you can only feel your own insignificance.
He quickly recalled historical records in his mind. He remembered that after Qian Renxue became a god, she did not immediately launch a full-scale attack.
This reassured him somewhat, giving him a sense that there was at least some room for maneuver for the time being.
However, just as this thought flashed through his mind, the Angel God Qian Renxue Jialing Pass suddenly disappeared into thin air.
The golden figure, like a beam of light, suddenly contracted and then reappeared in the sky above the battlefield in the next instant, its speed so fast it seemed to transcend space itself.
Her six wings unfurled slightly in the wind, radiating a dazzling, divine light. A powerful Holy Power erupted from her, like the sun falling to earth.
Huo Yuhao's heart skipped a beat, because he noticed that Qian Renxue's gaze was slowly moving downwards, past the smoke-filled battlefield, past the kneeling crowd, and past the countless Soul Master engaged in battle.
Finally... those golden eyes landed precisely on him.
A thunderbolt seemed to explode in Huo Yuhao's mind. Countless Soul Master were on the battlefield, so why had this Angel God chosen him specifically?
Shouldn't her target be Sea God Tang San, on the other side?!
Huo Yuhao subconsciously tried to sense the Sea God's aura, but found that he couldn't detect Tang San's presence or aura at all on this battlefield.
This war seems to have removed Sea God Tang San, from the original history.
There was no time for him to think further, because the Angel God Qian Renxue had already swung down the Angel Holy Sword.
That sword strike, seemingly casual, carried a slash imbued with ultimate light and flame.
The slash tore through the void, leaving a scorching and dazzling golden arc in the air, like a blazing sun compressed into a blade, hurtling straight toward Huo Yuhao's location.
Wherever it passed, the air was ignited into a distorted spectacle of light and shadow.
Faced with this casually delivered blow, Huo Yuhao's breathing suddenly became rapid.
He tried to dodge, but found that his body was pinned to the spot by some invisible force. The surrounding space was completely sealed off, and he could not use any means to tear space apart.
His perception was like a tightened net, with solidified barriers everywhere it touched.
Therefore, he only had one option: to tough it out.
Electrolux reacted even faster; almost at the same instant the attack landed, a golden Magic defensive array appeared in front of Huo Yuhao, followed by a second, a third...
One defensive array after another unfolded in front of Huo Yuhao like layers of flower petals, and eventually all eighteen defensive arrays were formed almost simultaneously.
The array plates were covered with complex and profound Magic Rune, each exuding a calm and stable aura, Ming Capital reaching the peak level of ninth-level Magic.
However, before that God strike containing light and fire, these defensive techniques of the lower realm's peak were like a thin sheet of paper.
The golden light, like a red-hot blade slicing through butter, effortlessly tore apart the eighteen defensive arrays layer by layer, without even a noticeable pause.
Huo Yuhao had no way out at this moment. His Soul Power was running wildly, and blue and red dragon scales emerged from under his Battle Armor, weaving together a cold yet intense luster.
His Seventh Soul Ring flickered beneath his feet, and then a huge golden vertical eye appeared out of thin air behind him, with sunflower patterns covering its perimeter, like the eye of a god that had opened from ancient mythology.
Martial Soul Avatar, Eternal Eye.
The Angel God's attack tore apart all the Magic Circle set up by Electrolux, and continued to press towards Huo Yuhao with almost no diminished power.
A dazzling golden beam of light suddenly shot out from the golden vertical eye behind Huo Yuhao, like a spear, directly meeting the God strike head-on.
The two beams of light collided in mid-air, unleashing a deafening roar that momentarily distorted the surrounding space amidst the violent energy fluctuations.
The intense golden light generated by the collision of the two attacks illuminated the entire sky for a fleeting moment before quickly fading away.
The kneeling taxi drivers and low-level Soul Master on the battlefield were so shocked that their eardrums ached. Some were even knocked to the ground by the aftershocks and couldn't get up for a long time.
Wang Dong'er and Jin Li stood not far away, watching the center of the collision in mid-air with bated breath. In the brief silence after the golden light dissipated, the tense expressions on their faces eased slightly.
The attack from that Angel God seemed to have been stopped.
However, before they could fully exhale, their expressions suddenly changed again.
Because in mid-air, Huo Yuhao's figure drew an arc and fell rapidly towards the ground, his posture was exactly the same as that of the Qian Jun Douluo not long ago.
The two unleashed their Soul Power and desperately chased after Huo Yuhao in the direction he had fallen.
They swept across the scorched earth and rubble, and found him in a deep crater in the battlefield.
Huo Yuhao was kneeling at the bottom of the pit, one hand supporting himself on the ground, the other hand covering his chest.
Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth; his face was pale, and his breathing was rapid and disordered.
A sword wound slid diagonally from his left shoulder down to his waist, slicing through the Ice and Fire Dragon King Armor along with the Three-Word Battle Armor below.
The edges of the crack were charred and curled, and even the self-repairing ability of the Battle Armor itself could not mend it.
Beneath the Battle Armor, the skin and flesh were torn and rolled up, a hideous wound stretched across his chest, a bloody mess, with bone vaguely visible.
If it weren't for the layers of defenses that had blocked most of the impact, he would probably have been split in two after that sword strike.
"Yuhao!"
"Huo Yuhao!"
Wang Dong'er and Jin Li squatted down on either side of him almost simultaneously. Their voices overlapped, each one more urgent than the last, their eyes filled with heartache and worry.
Looking at the hideous wound on Huo Yuhao's chest, the blood still lingering at the corner of his mouth, and the way he managed to force a smile despite his severe injuries, they felt as if something was gripping their hearts tightly.
Huo Yuhao looked up at the two of them, trying his best to make his tone sound relaxed, "I'm fine."
But judging from his current appearance, he hardly looks like he's alright.
The sword wound on his chest was so deep that the bone was visible; his left arm was almost unable to lift; and each breath he took was accompanied by a slight tremor, as if he were struggling to hold on to his last breath.
Wang Dong'er's voice trembled with barely suppressed sobs. "What kind of deep adventure is this? Facing a God, no one can possibly get through it!"
Jin Li, standing to the side, appeared unusually quiet. Unlike Wang Dong'er, she didn't ask questions or shed tears; she simply squatted silently beside Huo Yuhao.
Her golden eyes flickered slightly, as if she were pondering something extremely important.
Because at this moment, it seemed as if a voice in her heart was telling her what to do in this situation.
Jin Li knew that even if she did that, it would be impossible for Huo Yuhao to survive an attack from a God.
Even if there was only a sliver of hope, she decided to give it a try; it might be the only thing she could do for Huo Yuhao.
Her gaze lingered on Huo Yuhao's pale face for a moment, then she suddenly stood up.
Her movements were swift and decisive, without the slightest hesitation. She stepped forward and directly embraced Huo Yuhao was kneeling on the ground.
This sudden action startled both Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong'er.
Huo Yuhao stiffened slightly. He didn't know what Jin Li was going to do. He wanted to push her away, but found that he couldn't even lift his hand.
Wang Dong'er bit her lip, her gaze shifting back and forth between Jin Li and Huo Yuhao, before finally looking at Huo Yuhao's clearly bewildered face and remaining silent.
She stood silently to the side, her fists clenched slightly, but she didn't step forward to pull them apart.
