God Realm Committee Expanded Meeting
The God of Destruction was indeed becoming increasingly satisfied with Huo Yuhao, his successor.
First of all, he has enough talent. Putting everything else aside, this kid's comprehension of the Law of Destruction far exceeded his expectations.
This is one of the reasons why he didn't deliberately increase the difficulty when designing the Divine Examination, because those so-called trials were completely unnecessary for this young man.
Most importantly, this child put in an exceptionally hard job of dealing with Tang San.
The God of Destruction originally gave Huo Yuhao a period of six months to a year to collect information on the hidden plans Tang San had set up on the Douluo Continent. After all, those plans were extremely well hidden, some even buried for tens of thousands of years, and finding conclusive evidence would be no easy task.
But to his surprise, Huo Yuhao got the job done in less than a month.
This surprised even the God of Destruction for a moment when he received the message, before he was overjoyed.
Now that the evidence was in hand, the God of Destruction decisively changed his original plan and decided to convene an expanded meeting of the God Realm Committee ahead of schedule.
The God Realm Committee, which is always jointly participated in by the Five Great God Kings, is the highest-level decision-making body in the Divine Realm.
The so-called "expanded meeting" expands the scope of participation beyond the five God King, but the extent of the expansion is not fixed.
Sometimes only Primary Deity are included, and sometimes even Secondary Deity are invited to attend.
This time, the God of Destruction raised the scale of the meeting to the highest level, encompassing all the Deity in the entire Divine Realm.
Regardless of their God Position, anyone qualified to enter that meeting hall would be invited.
This was no longer an ordinary expanded meeting; it was practically a general assembly of the entire Divine Realm.
The God of Destruction, the supreme ruler of God King, would have all the gods attend his meetings, even if it was just out of courtesy.
But from the moment this unprecedentedly large-scale expanded meeting was announced, it sparked a great deal of discussion throughout the Divine Realm.
Many Deity gathered in twos and threes, speculating about the reason why the God of Destruction had summoned everyone this time.
Some people confidently claimed to have received reliable inside information, stating with certainty that this meeting was still about the age-old issue of the Divine Realm expansion.
Some people disagree, feeling that the God of Destruction has been making little progress for so many years, and this time he probably won't come up with anything new.
What they didn't know was that the core issue of this meeting was not just the expansion of the Divine Realm, but the impeachment of Tang San, the God King.
The main hall of the palace is a standard octagon, with an extremely spacious interior and a high-hanging dome that radiates divine light.
As one Deity after another entered, the once empty hall gradually became lively.
The Deity of the Divine Realm number just over two thousand, and not all of them are present today; only 1,978 have arrived. But for the God of Destruction, this number is sufficient.
Tang San also took a seat in the bustling crowd. His expression was normal, and he even had his usual calm smile.
He was indeed a little surprised. Wasn't it supposed to be tomorrow? Why was it suddenly moved up?
However, he didn't think too much about it. Over the years, he had become quite adept at "battling" with the God of Destruction, and most of the time he had the upper hand. He thought that this time there shouldn't be any surprises.
Tang San sat in his seat, his fingertips lightly tapping the table, waiting for the meeting to officially begin.
The God of Destruction was the last to appear. When his purplish-black figure appeared at the entrance of the palace's main hall, the Deity who had been conversing in hushed tones fell silent.
He walked steadily down the dark-patterned aisle to his seat, his expression unreadable beneath his hood, yet he exuded an aura quite different from his usual self.
After taking his seat, he slowly surveyed the room before announcing in a loud voice, "The meeting begins."
All the Deity ' gazes instantly focused on him, God of Destruction continued in a calm tone the topic he had raised countless times on different occasions.
"Today's meeting is still rehashing old news: many humans in the lower realms have already reached the pinnacle of their cultivation and need Deity position to ascend to the Divine Realm. I think it's time to expand the Divine Realm."
After he finished speaking, Sea God Tang San, almost habitually took over the conversation.
He leaned back in his chair, composed, and said in a calm tone, "The rules of the Divine Realm were established long ago; how can they be changed so easily?"
"Expanding the Divine Realm is not advisable. If God is willing to relinquish their God Position and explore more distant star systems, then the God Position can be naturally passed on."
These two sentences were as prudent as ever, leaving the assembled Deity with nothing to criticize.
In the past, the God of Destruction would probably have already slammed his fist on the table and started another pointless argument with him.
However, today, the God of Destruction did not directly retaliate.
A very faint smile curved the corners of his lips, flashing briefly in the shadow of his hood.
He thought to himself, "Tang San, you've taken the bait."
He then raised his head, his gaze fixed on Tang San, his tone carrying an unprecedented sharpness. "Since the Sea God has brought up the rules of the Divine Realm, then I shall have a good talk about them."
Tang San's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this, realizing he had been careless.
Seeing the God of Destruction in this state, he felt that his opponent seemed to have come prepared, and that he might have already fallen into a trap set by the God of Destruction.
However, he wasn't too worried. After all, based on his understanding of the God of Destruction, this old rival had never had any real offensive power when it came to the "rules of the Divine Realm." He would just repeat the same old arguments over and over again, and he shouldn't have any problem dealing with them.
The voice of the God of Destruction rang out again, carrying an oppressive aura. "Sea God, you are the God Realm Enforcer, controlling its God Realm Hub, yet you use this privilege to spy on the mortal world year after year..."
At this point, Tang San interrupted him directly, his tone still calm, as if he had already prepared a flawless explanation.
"As God Realm Enforcer, I naturally need to frequently investigate the situation in the mortal world so that I can deal with any unexpected events in a timely manner."
In the past, being interrupted like this in public would have enraged the God of Destruction.
However, today, he merely gave a cold snort, a faint smile playing on his lips, as if he had already anticipated Tang San's response.
"That sounds very high-sounding, but what about your arbitrary interference in the affairs of the lower realms?"
Faced with the God of Destruction's question, Tang San replied without changing his expression, "I have never interfered in the affairs of the lower realm. Destruction God, don't make false accusations."
The God of Destruction sneered and retorted, "Is that so?"
Upon hearing this, Tang San suddenly felt a sense of foreboding.
That feeling came without any reason, but with his cultivation as God King, he certainly wouldn't have it on a whim out of thin air.
He didn't know where this unease came from; perhaps it was because of the God of Destruction's confident, almost composed tone, or perhaps it was because of the unusually silent reactions of the surrounding God King.
He subconsciously glanced at the Goodness and Evil God Kings; in the past, they would have already spoken up for him at this time.
But today, the two sat quietly in their seats, their eyes lowered, as if they hadn't heard anything.
