Li Mu undid his transformation. The Elder Wand in his hand instantly spewed Fiendfyre, forming a sea of flames. Nearly all the incubation chambers were consumed by Fiendfyre, and the sleeping Precursors inside were reduced to ashes before they ever laid eyes on the outside world.

The Nirvana Flame burned the nursery from the inside out, and the entire nursery flashed crazily with red light.
Using the Nirvana Flame as cover, Li Mu used spatial displacement to transfer one of the Precursors out of an incubation chamber. Then, he transformed himself into a genetic duplicate of that Precursor and used Apparition to lie down inside.
Before long, he had fallen asleep. Whether he would succeed next was up to fate.
Although he was asleep, Li Mu still retained faint awareness of the outside world.
