"Was I about to become a biochemist?"
Li Mu walked through the biochemistry laboratory, looking at all sorts of instruments and equipment, then shook his head.
The Kaiju created by the Precursors were indeed impressive. Through the Kindling Tome, he could also turn the Precursors' memories extracted through Legilimency into Kindling Tomes and master them quickly. However, he had no intention of following that path, because Kaiju were utterly unsuited for combat in oxygen-rich environments.
Besides, he knew his own limits. His hyperthymesia gave him an exceptionally strong memory, not an exceptionally high IQ.
Being a scientist was not so easy, so this field did not hold much potential for him.
That did not mean it was worthless. He could use Fantasy Conversion to turn the entire biochemistry laboratory into a kindling building, then mass-produce Kaiju automatically. High-level Kaiju would still be excellent as cannon-fodder war weapons.
Checking his Origin Kindling, he found that his HuoZhong Source Power had surged dramatically.
Killing the Precursor he had captured alive had earned him a full hundred calories of HuoZhong Source Power. However, killing the sleeping Precursors in the nursery yielded several times less per individual. Even so, he had gained nearly three hundred thousand calories of HuoZhong Source Power.
It was a massive haul—calling it a windfall from heaven would not be an exaggeration.
The last time he returned to the Spark World, he had learned much of the common knowledge that Spark Captains needed through the Spark Network.
The amount of HuoZhong Source Power awarded for killing an Alien Race depended partly on the target's strength, partly on its status within its civilization, partly on the overall strength of that civilization, and lastly on the threat that Alien Race posed to Human Civilization.
Only these factors combined determined how much HuoZhong
