Background and History

Origin and identity

The Primeval Phoenix’s identity is revealed in layers. It was a spark-transformed warship born from Primeval Blue Star, whose Shipboard Spark eventually produced a true spirit and became a Primeval Life. It is also the reincarnation of the Eternal Life Sacred Ancestor, though that reincarnation began with a damaged foundation and incomplete Primordial True Names 517 650.

When the reincarnated Eternal Life Sacred Ancestor awakened on Primeval Blue Star, the Spark Root within the planet was hostile toward it. The Primeval Phoenix nevertheless became connected to the Spark Root, a development later believed to have allowed it to survive when other Primeval Lifeforms in the upper dimension perished 587 650.

Li Mu eventually learns that the Primeval Phoenix is his past life. The Phoenix intends to buy Li Mu time by severely wounding the Dimension Will, allowing him to inherit the nine Roots of the Nirvana Spark; however, accepting that inheritance carries the risk that the Primeval Phoenix could seize Li Mu instead 650.

Ancient war

The Primeval Phoenix forced its way into the lower dimension after discovering that the Spark Root was there. The journey consumed much of the legacy it had accumulated in the upper dimension and led to a pyrrhic conflict with the Dimension Will 587.

It also fought the Primordial Ancient Demon race. One Primeval Life-level Ancient Demon could not be killed even by the Primeval Phoenix and was sealed instead; its true spirit endured the passage of ages and remained capable of opposing the Phoenix 466.

The battle’s aftermath devastated the Primeval Phoenix Nest and harmed young phoenixes, leaving surviving phoenixes in a desolate and traumatized state 474.

Nirvana preparations and final battle

A backup nirvana seed was hidden in the New World. Formed from a drop of the Primeval Phoenix’s blood mixed with Primordial Ancient Thought, it could serve as the medium for its rebirth if supplied with sufficient sacrifices 599.

During its final confrontation with the Dimension Will, the Primeval Phoenix withheld its Nirvana Sacred Realm and instead relied on seven nirvanas, the Primeval Heaven Sacrifice Curse, and the Fate Puppet. Sacrificing the Fate Puppet allowed it to contest control of the Fate Sacred World and gain a temporary overwhelming advantage 651 655.

The Primeval Phoenix ultimately reverse-sacrificed the Fate Puppet’s power and designated a fate in which its own life would severely injure the Dimension Will. It then swallowed the Dimension Will and entered void nirvana as a phoenix egg 655.

The Primeval Phoenix possesses extraordinary rebirth capabilities and can weaponize its own existence through nirvana.

• Completed seven nirvanas during its final battle, allowing it to suppress the Dimension Will 655.

Primeval Roots

The Primeval Phoenix once possessed three major Roots whose later reappearance in Li Mu’s Phoenix creates a threat of conflicting ownership upon its revival.

• Five Elements Root — formed from metal, wood, water, fire, and earth source power 532.
• Auspicious Root — associated with destiny, fortune, and natural source power 532.
• Abyss Root — associated with the Abyss and the ability to establish an Abyss God Prison 522 532.

Sacred realm and creations

• Nirvana Sacred Realm — its personal sacred realm; it was notably absent from the final battle, implying the Primeval Phoenix had transferred or otherwise separated it from itself 652.
• Primordial Puppet — a construct created by the Primeval Phoenix with several Primordial Sacred Relics fused into its limbs, making conventional destruction extremely difficult 592.
• Crown feather seal — one of its crown feathers sealed a Primeval Life-level Primordial Ancient Demon that it could not kill 466.

Combat speed and pursuit

The Primeval Phoenix was vastly faster than the Dimension Will in their decisive battle. Even after the Dimension Will split into countless identical clones, the Primeval Phoenix ignored the decoys and pursued the true body with Li Mu’s assistance 652.

• Li Mu — Present-life counterpart. The Primeval Phoenix seeks to give Li Mu time and access to the Nirvana Spark’s nine Roots, though Li Mu fears being possessed if he accepts the fusion 650.
• Dimension Will — Long-standing enemy. Their conflict began over the Spark Root and culminated in the Primeval Phoenix swallowing the severely injured Dimension Will before entering void nirvana 587 655.
• Eternal Life Sacred Ancestor — The Primeval Phoenix is its reincarnation, albeit one whose foundation and Primordial True Names were damaged during the process 650.
