The goddess, transformed into a bluebird, was surrounded by a group of women.
Jinx, Isha, and Vi had all gathered around her, while Ekko, Malson, and Zeri—who had only just returned because her speed made her useful as a "communication tool"—stood at the edge.
They watched Janna excitedly as she nestled inside the little house Jinx had made.
That little house had originally been built by Jinx and Isha while playing house, but now that it was being used by Janna, it did not look out of place at all.
"Are you really Janna?" Jinx was the boldest of them all. She reached out and poked Janna's body directly. Vi immediately tried to stop her, but how nimble were Jinx's movements?
Her blue nail polish–painted index finger rubbed the bluebird's small head, and Jinx's face was filled with excitement.
"Jinx, don't do that. This is Janna..." Vi stammered from the side, afraid that Jinx's behavior would displease her.
As a Zaunite—especially one born and raised in the Sump—even the most heinous person would feel respect and gratitude upon hearing Janna's name.
"It's all right, Vi. I like Jinx very much," Janna said gently, allowing Jinx to touch her.
She truly did like Jinx.
Janna was not human. Though she helped and cared for humanity, she was still a goddess. She had lived far, far too long—so long that even she could no longer count the years. Across those countless ages, Janna had seen too many people and too many things. In her eyes, everything Jinx had done since growing up was not really all that remarkable.
She had seen the most despicable Piltover Citizens, and she had also seen noble, unyielding Zaunites.
In Janna's eyes, Jinx possessed a certain spirit, one that Janna liked very much.
It was—refusal to yield.
