Background

Vi survived imprisonment and was being sought by Silco's people when Malson's group brought her to safety. They prepared to treat her with properly administered Glow despite Caitlyn's objection. 19

She reunites with her younger sister Jinx after years apart, immediately recognizing her as Powder and holding her tightly. The reunion does not erase their conflict: Jinx agrees to speak with Vi only if Vi calls her “Jinx,” while Vi remains burdened by their past. 20 30

Vi regards Vander as her father and holds Silco responsible for Vander's death and for Jinx's condition. Li Ke challenges her belief that Silco alone made Powder become Jinx, arguing that the situation is more complicated than simple blame. 27 30
