However, he was stopped by the Dragon King, the reason seemingly related to the uniqueness of Runeterra...

Because the Star Spirits framed the Dragon King through a scheme in the background story, many people believe the Dragon King might not be that strong. However, this is a misconception. The crown used by the Star Spirits to frame the Dragon King was not made by them.
