Cast a Wide Net, Catch More Fish, Then Choose the Best

Akasaka didn't think much of it. "If an old witch like you, who knows how many years you've lived, counts as a girl, then an eighty-year-old old woman counts as a girl."

C.C. frowned. "You're really awful..."

Akasaka checked the time on his phone. It was almost time for Japan's prime minister to start work. He had originally planned to grab his coat, head out through the entryway, and lock C.C. inside to keep her from wandering around, but after thinking it over, he said, "C.C., come with me."

C.C., who had finished her chips and was lounging on the sofa, idly swinging her fair legs, immediately turned off the TV. She naturally came to Akasaka's side and asked, "Where to?"

Seeing how naturally she acted, Akasaka said nothing about it and replied flatly, "Come to work with me."

A little while later...

The two arrived at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.

Akasaka was handling official business, while C.C. remained sprawled leisurely on the sofa, reading manga and novels. Feeling a little bored, she closed her book, rolled over to face Akasaka, propped her cheek up with one hand, and asked, "This is the boring work you do?"

Without looking back, Akasaka stamped approval on a key national project and said, "What else would I do? If you're really bored, you can go take a look around, but you can't leave the Prime Minister's Official Residence."

C.C. tilted her head and lazily lay on the sofa. "Are you watching me?"

As he looked through the documents in his hands, Akasaka said, "What else? A strange woman suddenly comes knocking on my door, acting like she knows me. If you weren't pretty, I'd have treated you as a sexual harasser and called the police to arrest you."

"Ahh~" C.C. teased, lying
