Pressure from the Four Emperors

After a long while.

Shiina Hiyori walked out of the room.

Akasaka was still waiting by the railing outside the door.

The moment he saw Hiyori emerge, he immediately stepped forward to ask.

"How did it go? How did she react?"

Hiyori wore a complicated expression, but she still said, "I told her everything—about the two of us."

Akasaka's face instantly stiffened, but fortunately, he had prepared himself mentally beforehand and did not lose his composure.

Akasaka planned to take Hiyori back to school first, then figure out how to deal with things with Mahiru.

After taking her back to school, Akasaka arrived at Mahiru's front door. His hand remained on the doorknob, yet he did not dare turn it and go inside.

The moment he entered, he saw Mahiru sitting calmly in a chair, her gaze somewhat vacant.

Akasaka sat down across from Mahiru as well, patiently waiting for her questions.

"A year and a half ago. Less than two years. Around the time I enrolled at Advanced Nurturing..."

"That was when I met Shiina Hiyori..." Akasaka said with a bitter smile.

Mahiru's amber eyes lowered, and her expression dimmed considerably.
