The Black Young Dragon landed on the ground and looked around. "Where am I? Wasn't I at home reading a novel? How did I end up here?"

"Little one, now that you've been born, come to me!" a dignified voice called.

"Who's there?" The Black Young Dragon warily watched for any movement around him.

"I am your ancestor, the Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor. Come to the top of the pillar ahead." The dignified voice sounded again.

The Black Young Dragon was shocked. "The Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor? Did I transmigrate into the world of Martial Universe?"

After a brief hesitation, he flapped his Black Dragon Wings. When he appeared again, he was already atop a thousand-zhang pillar.

He saw a lotus-shaped stone seat. Beneath it, a man in a purple robe sat peacefully with his legs crossed.

The Black Young Dragon felt a sense of closeness well up inside him as he gazed at the imposing man before him.

"Little one, now that you've been born, you can't go without a name."

"You were born in the Dragon Clan's Burial Ground, so your surname shall be Long. And since you possess the ninth Ancient Dragon Bone, I hope you'll restore the ancient glory of my Dragon Clan. Your given name shall be Jiuyyao. How does Long Jiuyyao sound?" the man in the purple robe said with a smile.

"Thank you, Ancestor, for giving me a name," the Black Young Dragon said gratefully.

The man in the purple robe tapped the center of his brow. A burst of black light flared around the Black Young Dragon, and he slowly transformed into a pink-cheeked little boy.

Long Jiuyyao opened his eyes and looked at his distinctively jointed hands. Tears welled in his eyes. Turning into a dragon was fine, but after being used to life as a human, he still preferred to turn back into one.

Jade-colored light shimmered across the skin of his index finger. Beneath it lay an index finger bone, clear and crystalline as jade.

Having read Martial Universe thoroughly, he knew exactly what it was: the Dragon Clan's one and only Primordial Dragon Bone, though it was only a part of an index finger.

Long Jiuyyao looked at the jade-like bone before him and saw that the jade sheen had vanished from the index finger on the hand beneath it.

Long Jiuyyao studied the man in the purple robe. This was the peerless ruthless man who could fight the Six Masters, with the exceptions of the Ice Master and the Devouring Master.

"Little one, would you like to inherit my legacy?" the Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor asked casually.

"Ancestor, I'd be honored," Long Jiuyyao replied at once.

This was the legacy of a peak Reincarnation Stage powerhouse who had endured three Reincarnation Tribulations.

"Heh."

A miniature Purple Gold Giant Dragon flew into Long Jiuyyao's brow. He closed his eyes, taking in the vast flood of information pouring into his mind.

The information surged into him, but in the end, it gathered into four ancient purple-gold characters.

Nine Sacred Dragon Arts

The four ancient characters were vast and majestic, radiating an indescribable sense of authority.

This was the legacy the Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor had bestowed upon him.

It was divided into nine arts: the first unlocked at the Origin Core Realm, the second at the Creation Realm, the third at One Yuan Nirvana, the fourth at Five Yuan Nirvana, the fifth at Nine Yuan Nirvana, the sixth at the Life Profound Realm, the seventh at the Death Profound Realm, the eighth at the Samsara Stage, and the ninth at the Reincarnation Stage.

The Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor clasped his hands behind his back and gazed at the figure within the purple-gold light. A smile appeared on his gentle face, carrying a hint of admiration.

The sun hung low in the sky, its dark-red rays spilling down and covering the land.

High above, thick clouds suddenly gathered. Lightning flashed within them, and thunder rumbled across the sky.

"Get ready. He's coming out." The Dragon Clan Chief was the first to notice the disturbance in the sky. His expression shifted as he spoke in a low voice.

The Dragon Clan Elders also raised their heads, staring suspiciously at the disturbance overhead. A moment later, as if they had realized something, their gazes shot toward the Dragon Transformation Pool, and fresh waves of shock surged through their eyes.

The clouds grew thicker and thicker. Terrifying bolts of lightning gathered within them, and the whole world seemed to tremble beneath the thunder.

Boom.

The Dragon Transformation Pool, which had been calm for a long time, suddenly surged into waves again. Countless gazes shifted toward it, and then they saw a huge whirlpool slowly take shape within the pool.

"Whoosh!"

The instant the whirlpool formed, a beam of light shot out from it and straight into the sky. As the beam appeared, a peculiar pressure slowly spread through the air.

The beam rose from the Dragon Transformation Pool. Within it, a human figure gradually began to emerge.

Rumble!

The clouds overhead abruptly contracted. Countless bolts of lightning, each a hundred zhang long, surged down like ten thousand dragons, blasting toward the figure within the beam.

Yet the figure stood unmoving against the oncoming storm, letting the violent lightning strike him. Arcs of lightning danced across the sky before all of them were absorbed into his body.

The violent storm continued for nearly half an hour before gradually fading away along with the clouds.

The clouds dispersed, and sunlight spilled down across the mountain range. Every gaze remained fixed on the beam of light. Within it, the figure seemed to stretch, then stepped forward and slowly emerged.

All eyes focused on the slender figure as he finally appeared. A smile rested on his pink-cheeked face, but his entire body was enveloped in a dark-gold sheen, while a faint jade glow shimmered on his hands. His seemingly frail frame radiated an overwhelming pressure.

Under that pressure, the Dragon Clan members present turned pale. They could feel a tremor rising within them.

It was a suppression that came from their very bloodline.

The entire mountain range fell silent.

The Dragon Clan Chief gazed at the slender figure in midair, then slowly clenched his hands. His murmur carried a trace of deeply concealed shock as it drifted through the air.

"It's actually an Ancient Dragon Bone, and even a small piece of a Primordial Dragon Bone."

Long Jiuyyao gently flapped his pitch-black dragon wings. Sharp Dark Gold Radiance shimmered across his skin. Looking closely, one could almost see through it to the dark-gold bones beneath.

The pressure spreading through the air came from within those bones.

Around the Dragon Transformation Pool, countless people stared dazedly at the young figure. Under that pressure, no one spoke. The shock on their faces, however, betrayed the turmoil within them.

High above, Long Jiuyyao slowly opened his half-closed eyes. The dark-gold light shimmering over his body gradually faded until it was gone, and the pressure dissipated completely.

As soon as he opened his eyes, Long Jiuyyao saw the countless eager gazes fixed on him from every direction. Embarrassed, he rubbed the tip of his nose and gave an awkward laugh.

The Dragon Clan Chief on the Peak came back to his senses as well. He gave the figure in the sky a complicated look, then turned to exchange glances with the Dragon Clan Elders behind him. Their expressions were equally difficult to read.

"Everyone, you may disperse for now," the Dragon Clan Chief said after a moment's thought, sweeping his gaze around.

At the Chief's command, the Dragon Clan members reluctantly began to leave. As they went, however, whispers continued to spread. Clearly, none of them were calm.

The ordinary Dragon Clan members left, but the Dragon Clan Elders remained where they were.

"Come down here, young man. Let's talk!" the Dragon Clan Chief called with a smile.

Long Jiuyyao descended and looked at the tall, strong middle-aged man before him, who wore the plainest hemp clothes.

"I'm Yuan Gan, the Dragon Clan Chief. These are the Dragon Clan Elders," the middle-aged man said with a smile.

"This junior is Long Jiuyyao. Greetings, Chief Yuan Gan and Elders." Long Jiuyyao nodded, then cupped his hands toward the elderly men, each of whom looked as though he had one foot in the grave.

"Heh. There's no one else with the surname Long in the Dragon Domain. You're one of a kind, kid," Yuan Gan said with a smile, looking at the boy who barely reached his waist.

"Uh, my Ancestor gave me that surname. He said I was born in the Dragon Clan's Burial Ground, so I should take Long as my surname." Long Jiuyyao awkwardly scratched his head.

Yuan Gan hadn't heard anything else. All he'd heard was that Long Jiuyyao had been born in the Burial Ground.

"The Burial Ground? You were born in the Bone Burial Hall?" Yuan Gan asked to confirm.

"Mm." Long Jiuyyao nodded.

"You met the Ancestor in the Bone Burial Hall, didn't you?" Yuan Gan looked at Long Jiuyyao and asked. As soon as he spoke, the Dragon Clan Elders behind him all fixed their eyes on the boy.

Seeing their reaction, Long Jiuyyao could only nod.

"So be it. Meeting the Ancestor was your good fortune. You were born with an Ancient Dragon Bone and possess the purest bloodline of our clan. Heaven blesses our Dragon Clan. From now on, I'll be your father!" Yuan Gan burst out laughing.

Long Jiuyyao stared at Yuan Gan in astonishment. Good grief, he wants to be my dad just like that.

The Clan Elders nearby stared at their Chief in astonishment, too. Was this really the same dignified Chief they knew?

"Ahem!" Yuan Gan flushed under everyone's gaze. "It's settled. Seal away all news of what happened today. Nothing must be leaked."

Yuan Gan grabbed Long Jiuyyao and left the Dragon Transformation Pool.
