Background / History
The Dragon Clan reached its historic peak under the Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor, who unified the Demon Domain. The Dragon Clan Grand Hall preserves the Purple Gold Demonic Wings, Kunpeng Bone Wings, and Nine-Colored Tail Feathers as trophies from the strongest opponents of the other three hegemon clans who resisted that unification. 29
The True Dragon Realm is a remnant of the ancient war against the Yi Mo. Deep within it, the Dragon Tomb holds the remains of Dragon Clan experts who died in that conflict, including nine war generals who served the Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor. 65 66
In the present era, the clan is headquartered in the Dragon Domain, where the Dragon Transformation Pool, Burial Ground, and Bone Burial Hall are restricted ancestral sites. The pool's disturbance and the awakening of the Ancestor's Will drew the Chief and elders into a months-long vigil before Long Jiuyyao emerged. 1 2
Territory and Membership
- The central Dragon Domain spans 100,000 li and is exclusively Dragon Clan territory, with no other races residing within it. 17
- Hundreds or thousands of surrounding cities recognize the Dragon Domain as sacred land, depend on the clan, and are led by it; Dragon Hawk City is one such protected city. 17
- The clan also controls several million li beyond the Dragon Domain for its Outer Clan members. 64
- Outer Clan status is granted to those with mixed Dragon Clan bloodlines or those who have contributed to the clan. They may enter the Dragon Domain to attempt the awakening of Heavenly Dragon Qi. 64
- The clan's deeper foundation includes numerous slumbering “old monsters”; fewer than ten people besides the Clan Lord are said to know of them. 28

Bloodline and Cultivation
Dragon Bones
Dragon bones are the foundation of the clan's renowned physical strength. The Dragon Clan's Dragon Transformation Bone can elevate the essence of a demon beast's skeleton through the Dragon Transformation Pool, unlike conventional Bone Fusion, which requires a beast to burn away and replace its own bones. 29
- Ancient Dragon Bone — produces overwhelming bloodline pressure; its bearer is regarded by other demon clans as comparable in potential to a Reincarnation Stage expert. 2 70
- Primordial Dragon Bone — an exceptionally rare higher-grade dragon bone; even a small portion greatly strengthens its bearer. 2 66
- Ordinary Dragon Bone — possessed by many ordinary Dragon Clan members, though it remains formidable when paired with body-tempering arts. 79
Heavenly Dragon Qi
Heavenly Dragon Qi, also called True Dragon Qi, is the foundation of Dragon Clan cultivation. It circulates throughout the body, nourishes the internal organs, and contributes to the clan's exceptional physical strength. 64
- Pure-blooded Dragon Clan members naturally awaken Heavenly Dragon Qi upon reaching the Nirvana Realm. 64
- Early awakening can be undertaken in the True Dragon Realm, but the process is dangerous and varies in duration depending on the strength and purity of one's bloodline. 64
- An ordinary clansman requires roughly 1,000 strands of natal Dragon Qi to condense Heavenly Dragon Qi, while exceptional talents may require tens of thousands. 66
- Outer Clan members can successfully awaken Heavenly Dragon Qi in the True Dragon Realm, though their mixed bloodlines produce lower-quality Qi. 64
Bloodline Pressure
Pure Dragon Clan bloodlines exert a suppressive pressure independent of cultivation level. This pressure can subdue or intimidate other demon beasts and is a major source of the clan's authority across the Demon Domain. 2 44

Clan Gatherings
The Dragon Clan holds a grand clan competition every three years to foster martial spirit and identify prodigies. 6
- The competition includes trials such as continuous war-drum strikes, the Life and Death Heavenly Ladder, and Mirror Combat Stages. 6 8
- Mirror Combat participants earn progressively stronger battle robes by defeating armored mirror warriors. 8 11
- The top five gain access to the Dragon Treasury, while the top ten receive rewards. 4 11
- Long Jiuyyao became the first wearer of the Purple Gold Battle Robe and placed first in the Clan Gathering Competition. 11
Dragon Clan Sinners
Dragon Clan members who committed grave sins may be bound to Dragon Pillars outside the Grand Hall to atone. These Sinners include Death Profound Realm individuals and dozens at the half-step Cycle Realm. 29
- The Hornless Dragon is one such pillar-bound Sinner and was believed to have potentially entered the Cycle Realm after a century of atonement. 29
- The title “Sin” can also be a feared mark of distinction: a clansman who survives ten years of pursuit by hostile Demon Domain factions after offending them earns the Dragon Clan's protection and undergoes a life-and-death transformation. 54
External Influence
- The Dragon Clan's prestige is sufficient to deter powerful figures and suppress auction competition across the northern Demon Domain. 17 18
- The clan formally supported Long Jiuyyao's Beast War Palace by sending reinforcements and Elder Zhou Lan to its founding ceremony. 46 49
- Its protection was central to Long Jiuyyao's alliance with the declining Nine-Tails Clan, offering the clan safety from other Demon Domain forces. 44 45
- The Beast War Palace was intended to become Dragon Clan territory after the Beast War Domain's unification under Long Jiuyyao. 48
