Background / History

The Dragon Clan reached its historic peak under the Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor, who unified the Demon Domain. The Dragon Clan Grand Hall preserves the Purple Gold Demonic Wings, Kunpeng Bone Wings, and Nine-Colored Tail Feathers as trophies from the strongest opponents of the other three hegemon clans who resisted that unification. 29

The True Dragon Realm is a remnant of the ancient war against the Yi Mo. Deep within it, the Dragon Tomb holds the remains of Dragon Clan experts who died in that conflict, including nine war generals who served the Six-Fingered Sacred Dragon Emperor. 65 66

In the present era, the clan is headquartered in the Dragon Domain, where the Dragon Transformation Pool, Burial Ground, and Bone Burial Hall are restricted ancestral sites. The pool's disturbance and the awakening of the Ancestor's Will drew the Chief and elders into a months-long vigil before Long Jiuyyao emerged. 1 2

• The central Dragon Domain spans 100,000 li and is exclusively Dragon Clan territory, with no other races residing within it. 17

Dragon Bones

Dragon bones are the foundation of the clan's renowned physical strength. The Dragon Clan's Dragon Transformation Bone can elevate the essence of a demon beast's skeleton through the Dragon Transformation Pool, unlike conventional Bone Fusion, which requires a beast to burn away and replace its own bones. 29

Dragon Clan members who committed grave sins may be bound to Dragon Pillars outside the Grand Hall to atone. These Sinners include Death Profound Realm individuals and dozens at the half-step Cycle Realm. 29

• The Hornless Dragon is one such pillar-bound Sinner and was believed to have potentially entered the Cycle Realm after a century of atonement. 29
• The title “Sin” can also be a feared mark of distinction: a clansman who survives ten years of pursuit by hostile Demon Domain factions after offending them earns the Dragon Clan's protection and undergoes a life-and-death transformation. 54
