Background / History

Ling Qingzhu entered the Scorpion Dragon Mountain Range with disciples of the Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace. During an attack by the White Flame Dragon Scorpion King, she was rendered unconscious by fire poison while Bing Yan tried to carry her to safety. Long Jiuyyao and Jin Ming encountered the pair and intervened, with Long Jiuyyao recognizing the powerful flame force corroding Qingzhu's body 82 83.

After Qingzhu was separated from Bing Yan, Long Jiuyyao carried her away from the White Flame Dragon Scorpion King's pursuers. He used Ice Dragon Spiritual Grass to remove her fire poison, beginning an extended journey in which the two relied on one another to escape the mountain range 85.

She was later abducted by the Beast Taming Sect and forced into a wedding arrangement with its young master, Wu Lin. Long Jiuyyao infiltrated the sect during the ceremony, rescued her, and fought the sect's forces. Qingzhu was injured by the aftershock of a Three Yuan Nirvana Realm attack and fell unconscious, but Long Jiuyyao protected her heart meridians 92 94.

Initially wary of Long Jiuyyao, Qingzhu is reluctant to accept help from a man she barely knows. She becomes embarrassed after close contact with him, insists that he should not misunderstand her gratitude, and says she will repay him upon returning to the Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace 85.

Despite her reserved nature, she is resolute under pressure. When separated from Long Jiuyyao, she faces three dragon scorpions alone until exhaustion and injury overcome her 86. Her growing trust in him is reflected in her willingness to follow his escape plans, care for him after battle, and wait daily for his promised return 86 91 96.

Scorpion Dragon Mountain Range

Qingzhu is found unconscious and afflicted with fire poison after the White Flame Dragon Scorpion King's attack on the Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace disciples. Long Jiuyyao removes the poison with Ice Dragon Spiritual Grass, then escorts her through the mountain range while they evade dragon-scorpion forces 83 85.

After becoming separated from him, she defends herself against three dragon scorpions with her sword and green lotus. She loses consciousness from her injuries, but Long Jiuyyao locates and rescues her using the aura he had left on her 86.

Wild Mountain and Desolate City

Qingzhu accompanies Long Jiuyyao through Wild Mountain, where she learns his name and becomes increasingly concerned for his safety during clashes with the dragon-scorpion commanders 87. She identifies the Sea of Devouring Yuan on an ancient map and travels with him to Desolate City's Treasure Hunting Fair 89.

Her presence draws unwanted attention at the fair. Long Jiuyyao shields her from the crowd and violently drives away men attempting to harass her 89.

Beast Taming Sect Abduction

While traveling toward the Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace, Qingzhu is kidnapped in Black Dragon City by the Beast Taming Sect 92. Wu Lin forces her into bridal clothing for a wedding ceremony, but she remains composed and trusts Long Jiuyyao's rescue effort 93.

She is injured and knocked unconscious amid Long Jiuyyao's battle against the sect, though he protects her vital meridians 94. After awakening in the Black Dragon Dynasty, she waits each day in the direction Long Jiuyyao departed, expecting his return within one month 96.

Return to Taiqing City

Qingzhu and Long Jiuyyao later part ways at Taiqing City, the route through which Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace disciples travel. Before she enters the city, they reunite and share a kiss, confirming the depth of their connection 92 99.
