The power of sleep and fear surged toward him, turning into pure darkness. Everything was silently destroyed and vanished.
This was the authority of Evernight.
The Dragon of Nightmare jolted awake, but his mental state slid into the Abyss for the third time. The Goddess of Misfortune seized her chance. No matter how powerful the Pacification or mental healing, nothing could save him now!
Sizzle!
Evernight's power seeped completely into the Dragon of Nightmare's body.
A smile appeared on the Goddess of Misfortune's face, veiled in mist. She nodded slightly and snapped her slender fingers.
Snap!
The Dragon of Nightmare's enormous body turned into a simple sketch, then was effortlessly erased with an eraser.
This time, he was utterly powerless to resist and was sent to the Hidden World, Evernight's private domain.
The Goddess of Misfortune's figure disappeared for quite some time as she entered the Hidden World to take care of the final details.
When the Angel of Concealment appeared, all the darkness had vanished.
A chaotic, indescribable aura emerged, severing something conceptual.
The Angel of Concealment looked into the distance, beyond the hidden barrier.
Sasrir, holding the Blasphemy Slate, stood on a small, shrub-covered hill and nodded gently to the Angel of Concealment.
The Angel of Concealment nodded in reply, then turned and left, flickering away until his figure disappeared beyond the horizon.
His task was complete.
Sasrir withdrew his gaze and looked at the Dragon beneath him.
This was not a Psychic Dragon, but a Dragon of Wisdom.
He had none of the Psychic Dragon's scales, which seemed to exist between reality and illusion, nor the mysterious patterns that drove people mad.
Instead, his body was covered in brass-colored markings. Some resembled eyes, others books, and they shimmered with the unique brilliance of wisdom.
He was also quite unusual among the Dragon Race.
He had keenly noticed the anomaly surrounding the Hidden World and sensed that something was happening, so he had come to investigate. By chance, he had run into Sasrir, who was here to guard against unforeseen events.
And the Angel of Concealment's ability to easily locate the Dragon of Nightmare in the Sea of Collective Subconsciousness had also been thanks to his assistance.
"'Dragon of Wisdom' Herabergen, where is your wisdom?"
Sasrir lightly tapped the Blasphemy Slate with a finger, then turned to the Dragon of Wisdom and smiled kindly.
"Roar!"
Suddenly, the Dragon of Imagination, hidden in the Sea of Collective Subconsciousness formed by the city's humans behind Truman, let out a terrifying roar.
Everyone who heard it, human or Angel, fell into a daze, as if they had forgotten themselves.
Even Truman's mind became disordered and scattered, and he could barely focus on anything!
A divine power slowly spread out, its protection gently brushing away the devastating effects of the Dragon of Imagination's roar.
"You stupid Dragon, you think you can catch me off guard?!" A blazing bolt of lightning transformed into a spear and was hurled by the Elf King.
Sunlight burst forth as well, its sea covering the Sea of Collective Subconsciousness.
The Dragon of Imagination had only been watching the divine battle from afar, but in the eyes of the two Gods, that roar was tantamount to declaring his entry into the fight!
The Elf King and the Ancient Sun God's attacks struck the Dragon of Imagination in an instant.
"Roar!" The Dragon of Imagination had no intention of fighting the two of them. He returned to the City of Miracles as quickly as he could.
His escape also brought the battle between the Ancient Sun God and the Elf King to an end. The fight simply fizzled out.
Once they knew the Dragon of Imagination was watching from the sidelines, both sides had tacitly avoided escalating the conflict to its highest level. They each backed down.
Back in the City of Miracles, the Dragon of Imagination radiated a brutal, frenzied aura. If not for his Draconic form, he would have seemed like the Elf Tyrant had descended.
"Where is Alsuhod?!" The Dragon of Imagination's cold voice echoed in the hearts of every Dragon in the city.
Many Dragons went berserk and lost control. They were Dragons whose inner characteristics were mixed and impure. They had been able to act freely before because the Dragon of Imagination had pacified their madness.
But now, the brutal side of the Dragon of Imagination was on full display. He even seemed ready to imitate the Annihilation Demonic Wolf and kill his descendants!
"Herabergen!" The Dragon of Imagination's gaze fell on a Subordinate God nearby.
The Dragon of Wisdom was crushed by the pressure and fell from the pillar. His mental state descended into Frenzy, bringing him to the brink of losing control.
After a long while, the Dragon of Wisdom finally recovered. He looked up at the still-furious Dragon of Imagination.
"Alsuhod went out to the City of Nightmares..."
"After that, everything was concealed, and the City of Nightmares disappeared completely." The Dragon of Wisdom's body trembled involuntarily.
"..." The Dragon of Imagination closed his eyes. His aura remained brutal and frenzied, and the storm of his mind projected directly into reality. Every Dragon suffered terribly, yet none could even cry out in pain.
No one knew how much time passed. Perhaps half a day. The storm projected by the Dragon of Imagination's mind began to subside, and the Dragons' situation improved. At least they no longer had to worry about losing control completely.
"Good!" The Dragon of Imagination seemed to have figured everything out. His eyes were chillingly cold, glinting with murderous intent.
"Ariehogg, Sienhog..." The Dragon of Imagination called out these Dragons of the Dragon Pathway, each Sequence Two, and ordered them into the temple.
The Dragons dared not disobey. As the "Dragon of Wisdom" Herabergen followed a different Pathway, he was not required to take part.
Still, Herabergen and the other Dragons who had not been summoned did not dare move. They could only wait.
When the Red Moon hung high overhead, the Dragons finally emerged from the temple. They showed no outward signs of change; each was still the same Dragon as before.
But Herabergen, crouched on the ground, was trembling. Only after a long while did he rise and return to his palace.
"The Elves and the Sun didn't suffer much." Standing on the shore and watching the Queen of Calamities vanish completely, Truman's mouth twitched. "The Dragon of Imagination, who was just watching, suffered the most."
The lightning and sunlight in the sky had also completely faded.
"Oh, and the Giants."
"The Giants who started the divine battle ended up as spectators, staring each other down with the Phoenix."
"And the Demon Monarch is still wandering near the Abyss. He doesn't dare come out."
Perhaps the deaths of Ancient Gods like the Annihilation Demonic Wolf had shaken the Demon Monarch. He was still carrying on with his plan to drag the world into the Abyss, but he had become much more cautious.
"Dream is still Dream, but something seems off about him too..."
He turned the fourth page of the Book of Dreams with a complicated expression. It contained the third branch of authority, which he had not yet fully worked out.
When the Elf King's gaze fell on him, the Book of Dreams had flared up for an instant. He had never seen it do that before.
And in that instant, it seemed to show him something deeper.
He... or she, or even it, might not be human.
"Does this mean I'm a Sefirah that came to life?" It was a serious question, one that concerned how Truman saw himself.
