He placed the seven Dragon Balls, now turned to stone, on Kami's Lookout according to their original locations to avoid any confusion.

Kami Piccolo and Mr. Popo were somewhat puzzled as to why Kairos was doing this.

At the same time, they were even more astonished by the means Kairos possessed.

If Kairos had been a little more selfish, the Dragon Balls would have become his personal property. Every year, they could grant him one wish.

Seeing Kami Piccolo and Mr. Popo's concerns, Kairos explained his own thoughts.

He told them that his arrival had been an accident, that he had forcefully inserted himself into the present-day Earth almost like using a cheat code.

He did not want to change too much, nor did he want Earth's original future to be altered because of his arrival.

So perhaps it was better to return the Dragon Balls to their original locations.

Otherwise, if the locations of the Dragon Balls changed because of him, those who might originally have obtained them and fulfilled their wishes would never be able to do so, while those who could never have obtained them might instead get them. Earth's future would then be completely changed.

To eliminate these uncertain factors, returning the Dragon Balls to their original locations was the wiser choice.

In particular, placing four of the Dragon Balls with Briefs, Son Gohan, Master Roshi, and Ox-King also indirectly prevented Earth's evil forces from seizing the Dragon Balls and making wishes.

Kami Piccolo and Mr. Popo were quite surprised after hearing this.

They had not expected Kairos to have considered so much, especially since he was thinking about Earth's future.

To be honest, even Kami Piccolo himself had not thought that far ahead.

"Ahh... how shameful. I call myself Kami, yet I don't see things as clearly as you do," Kami Piccolo said.

"I only want to avoid Earth changing too drastically because of my interference! I like Earth, and I want to make it my home in the future! So I hope to see Earth develop in a better direction," Kairos said frankly.

There were some things he could not say, but showing how much he valued Earth in this way would allow Kami Piccolo to truly put his mind at ease about Kairos's presence.

Kairos could sense that Kami Piccolo was still somewhat wary of him.

He probably both wanted Kairos to remain on Earth as a guardian deity and feared that he might do something terrible.

"In that case, we'll do as you say. Mr. Popo will make a trip to return the One-Star Ball, Five-Star Ball, and Six-Star Ball. As for the rest..."

Before Kami Piccolo could finish, Kairos took over. "Please leave the One-Star Ball, Five-Star Ball, and Six-Star Ball to Mr. Popo. I'll personally return the Two-Star Ball, Three-Star Ball, Four-Star Ball, and Seven-Star Ball. Now that I have Instant Transmission, I can travel anywhere on Earth in an instant."

"No wonder you wished for a skill like that. This Instant Transmission is truly miraculous," Kami Piccolo said.

Earth had no such technique.

He was deeply interested in Instant Transmission, and he held the Yardrats, who had developed such a technique, in even greater admiration.

As Kami, if he could learn it as well, he would have even greater control over Earth in the future.

If anything happened in the lower world, he could intervene at once.

He could only wait and see whether he might have a chance to learn it from Kairos later.

Even if he could not learn it, as long as he understood some of Instant Transmission's tricks and principles, he should be able to spend time creating a similar technique in the future.

With Kairos and Mr. Popo's efforts, the seven Dragon Balls returned to their original locations.

Ultimately, the reason Kairos had so decisively returned the Dragon Balls rather than keeping them at his side until he could make another wish next year was that he did not intend to use Earth's Dragon Balls again.

Their abilities were simply too limited.

This time, he had merely wanted to test them out. He had not held much hope that they could grant any significant wish.

Obtaining Instant Transmission was already a good result.

If even Instant Transmission could not have been granted, Kairos had already planned to wish for the ability to survive in outer space.

Comparatively speaking, that should have been easier to achieve.

After all, Earth's Shenron could already grant eternal life.

And with Instant Transmission, even if the Spaceship could not be effectively modified anytime soon, Kairos could still go to North Kai's Planet to find North Kai, ask him for directions, then use Instant Transmission to travel to Planet Namek and make wishes with Planet Namek's Porunga.

With Planet Namek's Porunga, Earth's Shenron became practically dispensable.

Moreover, Planet Namek's Porunga's advantages were not merely that he was more powerful, nor simply that he could grant three wishes at once. A year on Planet Namek was equivalent to only 130 days on Earth!

In other words, by Earth's calendar, nine wishes could be granted in one year and one month—390 days.

By the time Kairos returned to Kami's Lookout, nearly half an hour had passed.

Instant Transmission was incredibly useful. As long as he locked onto a person's energy, short-distance travel consumed almost nothing for Kairos.

The only reason he had returned half an hour later was because he had chatted briefly with Son Gohan, Master Roshi, and Ox-King, then made another trip to West City to tell Briefs, Tights, and Bulma about his plans going forward, which had delayed him.

After all, for the next period of time, he would continue training at Kami's Lookout and receive instruction from Kami Piccolo and Mr. Popo.

He also needed a quiet environment. It was time to sort through the techniques he knew, keep the best and discard the rest, and improve his skill proficiency.

Then, after thoroughly consolidating his current strength, he would head to North Kai's Planet to meet North Kai.

That said, if North Kai had not contacted him through Kami Piccolo first, Kairos would not have been in such a hurry.

At the very least, he would have waited a while longer—until Kakarot arrived on Earth, met him once, and then left.

Kairos had met Kakarot before. As for whether the kid remembered him, that was another matter.

After all, Kakarot was only three years old now, so his memory was probably limited.

Kairos also knew Kakarot's older brother Raditz, his mother Gine, and his father Bardock.

It was worth mentioning that although his parents in this life had both been logistics personnel, they were also Low-class Warriors and had been on good terms with Gine and Bardock.
