Betkas stared at the three figures appearing before him, suppressing the boundless agitation surging from deep within his blood like a primal instinct.

"Beep, beep, beep!"

For once, Betkas turned off his scouter, no longer bothering to gauge how powerful the trio across from him were. This was the Fusion Technique—a move that had worked wonders several times in the original story. Its strength went without saying. At the very least, the combined power of these three exceeded 100,000.

After all, each of the original six individuals had a battle power over 10,000. If the fusion didn't yield a combat strength above 100,000, then the technique would be pretty much useless.

"I don't really want to do this, but just in case..."

Betkas slowly raised his right hand and created another Artificial Moon, tossing it into the sky. Unlike the energy Vegeta had expended, a Saiyan at full power could produce an Artificial Moon with almost no strain.

The moment he threw it, the three opponents charged at him in unison. In the blink of an eye, they surrounded him from the front, back, and left, all attacking at once. Their speed was so great that Betkas could only barely dodge.

But the next second, he saw a fist coming from the front. He sidestepped slightly, evading it. As another fist struck from behind, Betkas burst out with his ki, forcing himself back a short distance with a stiff movement, dodging again. Then came a third punch, one he couldn't avoid. Though he managed to slip past two attacks, the third landed squarely. The immense force sent Betkas flying hundreds of meters, smashing through countless small rocky hills along the way.

"Cough, cough... Damn it. I can clearly see what these guys are doing, but my body just can't keep up."

Betkas crawled out of a pile of rocks, coughing a few times, feeling annoyed. He could indeed see the movements of the fused trio clearly, even react to them, but his own physical speed simply couldn't match the requirements.

This was the tragedy of being weaker. He had once broken through to the 5–6 million range thanks to the "Great Explosion," which had greatly boosted his power. But after being hit by Bardock's "Saiyan Seal," his strength had been reduced to just over 12,000. His perception, however, hadn't dropped—only his speed and attack power had.

That was why, when the three struck simultaneously, he could barely dodge two punches but not the third.

"But... is the Great Ape Transformation my only option?"

Betkas's mood grew heavy. In his current state, he couldn't even run away, let alone defeat them.

He really wanted a good fight, but this was a gang-up, not a one-on-one duel. This kind of disadvantage wasn't something even a Saiyan who thrived on battle could easily overcome. After all, not only were his opponents stronger, but they were also ganging up on him. This was just messing with him.

And there was another thing Betkas had to consider: even after transforming into a Great Ape, would he be a match for them? The transformation multiplied his power tenfold, but the question was whether that would be enough.

The original story never specified exactly how much stronger a fusion made the participants.

So Betkas couldn't gauge the gap. The only thing he knew for sure was that their battle power definitely didn't exceed 500,000.

But even if they had 200,000, he'd still have a hard time handling them as a Great Ape.

Right now, Betkas wished he had the Kaioken. That would give him a fighting chance.

"Tch! Screw it! Even if the Great Ape makes me a huge target, a tenfold power boost is an eternal truth!"

Betkas spat on the ground, stood up, and looked at the Fusion Trio speeding toward him. His gaze then shifted to the Artificial Moon he had created earlier.

"Not good... He's about to transform?!"

The Fusion Trio had just arrived when they noticed Betkas's body beginning to change. Their expressions shifted slightly. While the Saiyan Great Ape transformation was well-known, few knew about the Artificial Moon—it was a technique only high-class Saiyans used. That was why they hadn't stopped him when he fired that light ball earlier.

As for Betkas, his face began to twist and contort. His hair color started to change, and something inside him seemed ready to burst out. His body swelled, his arms grew thicker and more muscular, veins bulging visibly. His pupils vanished in an instant, his eyes going blank. Thick, dark fur began to sprout all over.

His body grew larger and larger, until he towered like a massive mountain range.

"ROAR!!"

As soon as the transformation was complete, Betkas let out a symbolic roar that shook the earth.

"Take him down quickly! If he goes on a rampage, it'll be a disaster for this planet!"

The blue-haired man with white streaks in the Fusion Trio spoke with a grave expression. The other two—a man and a woman—nodded slightly. All three began to unleash powerful ki, enveloping their bodies. Then, a blue, a green, and a white ki blast formed in their hands.

"Ka... me... ha... me... ha!!"

Seeing them preparing to strike without mercy, Betkas didn't hesitate. His massive body moved, his hands placed parallel in front of him with a gap between them, then pulled back to his waist. A golden ki blast began to form, and he fired it instantly.

"ROAR!!"

A dragon's cry accompanied the blast as a golden dragon head charged straight at the Fusion Trio. The trio, with serious expressions, launched their Three-Color Ki Blast, which merged into a pure tricolored wave that collided with the golden dragon head.

"Sizzle!!! Crack, crack, crack!!"

The power of the clash was so immense that lightning sparked around the center of the blast, gale-force winds whipped up, and massive cracks split the earth. Even pebbles were lifted high into the air. The sky turned dark and gloomy, like a scene of the apocalypse.

The sheer force radiating from this collision made every being on the planet tremble in deep fear!
