During lunch,
Most of the students had gone to eat. The campus was bustling with people, and all the food shops were packed with customers.
But some students didn't like eating lunch. They might hide somewhere quiet to rest, or refuse to leave the classroom at all.
Manabe Shiho and Yamashita Saki were walking back to the dorm.
"What do you think happened to Nami?
She took a day off without saying a word, and she's not replying to my messages. Could she be sick?!
The kind where she's stuck in bed and can't move!!"
Yamashita Saki asked Manabe Shiho beside her, sounding agitated. This was the first time something like this had happened.
Usually, she'd tell them about something as important as taking a day off. But now she wasn't even replying to messages, and she wouldn't pick up the phone either!
"Stop asking!!
Aren't we already on our way there!??!
We'll find out when we get there!!!?"
Manabe Shiho finally lost her patience and yelled at her.
She'd been chattering away beside her since morning. Shiho had already told her they'd go check on Nami during lunch, and now they were already on their way, yet she was still asking!
"I... I'm just... worried about her, okay?"
After Manabe Shiho yelled at her, Yamashita Saki immediately backed down, stumbling over her words.
"We're at school! If something serious had happened, the teachers would be more worried than you!
She's in her dorm, not the nurse's office, so it can't be that bad!! Got it?!!"

After answering, Yamashita Saki didn't dare say another word. She followed silently behind Manabe Shiho.
