"Why are you all so quiet?"
Lunch was ready. Gojo Satoru came out of the kitchen carrying the food and saw the three of them sitting in silence.
He'd heard their conversation from inside, but he still had to pretend he didn't know anything.
If they found out he'd been eavesdropping the whole time, things would probably be even more awkward than they already were.
Even after he asked, the three of them still didn't say a word. They just stared blankly at Gojo Satoru.
The other two looked confused, while Shino Nanami wore a faintly wounded expression. She seemed to want to say something, but was too embarrassed to speak up.
After setting all the food on the table, Gojo Satoru sat down beside the bed. Ignoring the other two's shocked looks, he gently pulled Shino Nanami into his arms.
He smoothed her hair and asked gently, "Why do you look so down? I was only gone for a little while."

Touched by his concern, Shino Nanami hugged him tightly in return.
Her voice low and plaintive, she said, "I missed you."
"All right, all right. Let's eat first. I'm not going anywhere today."
Knowing what Shino Nanami was afraid of, Gojo Satoru gently patted her back, slowly soothing her.
Then he let her go, helped her sit against the headboard, and brought over a plate of food to feed her.
"Are you two not eating? We don't have much time. You still have class in a bit, don't you?"
Glancing back at the two girls, who were still sitting there in a daze, Gojo Satoru asked in confusion.
