Near the border between the Land of Earth and the Land of Grass.
A gigantic, milky-white fat pigeon flapped its wings clumsily in midair. It might have been ugly, but it was incredibly fast, vanishing in an instant like an arrow loosed from a bow.
On the fat pigeon, a twelve-year-old lad sat cross-legged with an air of swagger. The fierce wind whipped his long blond hair into a flurry.
"Now this is art!"
Deidara looked down, toying with the new bomb in his hand. His blue-green eyes brimmed with barely contained excitement and madness.
After the white fat pigeon had flown for a while, it soon found a small village. Deidara looked down and saw the villagers like black ants. Without a second thought, he tossed the bomb in his hand.
"Art is Explosion! Drink!"
Boom!!
Amid the deafening blast, a massive fireball accompanied by thick black smoke suddenly erupted from the village below, surging into the sky.
Without even a single scream, the civilians of the village were blown to dust!
"Ahhh, amazing!!"
Deidara lay on the fat pigeon, watching the mushroom cloud slowly rise. His slight frame trembled with excitement as he babbled about art, explosions, and other mad nonsense.
The tremendous shockwave from the explosion below surged upward with the mushroom cloud, sweeping toward them like a landslide. Deidara quickly steered the fat pigeon away, letting the blast carry it into the distance.
But just then, a sharp whistle of wind suddenly came from above Deidara.
An attack?!
Deidara's expression shifted. He was already high in the sky. How could there possibly be a ninja above him?
Could it be that old geezer?
He looked up, and through the sunlight, saw a dreamlike woman descending from the sky, bathed in its warm glow.
She had purple
